We have to have a quorum to pass a bill that has budget items in it. We can still do other stuff, like voter ID, which is coming up because the bill has been amended to remove the budget items. (Free IDs for those who can't afford one. That is the dems main complaint against it, and now because they're AWOL, that provision has been stripped. Irony is sweet.)

Do they need a quorum? Also the dems have been faxing in and calling in their votes about other issues. This needs to stop. If they are present for those votes then they should be considered present for this vote.

From what I am seeing in the News, they may come back, but they will not be there for long.

This series of events is horrible PR for the teachers and for the Dem. State Senators.

The Tea Party deserves the credit for this, and the Tea Party is all of those folks who ain't them in the Public Service.
