It does appear that former governor and GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah you betcha Palin will be throwing her beauty pageant sash into the presidential ring. She has added veteran Republican strategist Michael Glassner to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee, Sarah PAC, and steer her political operation. For the political insiders this is the strongest indication yet that Sarah Palin is seriously laying the groundwork for a serious bid for the white house. Unfortunately, she is probably the most disastrous of the current crop of possible GOP hopefuls and in my humble opinion would stand absolutely no chance in the general election. I will even venture to say that I dont think shell make it out of the primaries. She is mistaking the general support the Right gives her as a person of character and cheerleader Tea Party as political support for a presidential bid. I submit to you the two are not the same and she will find this out the hard way. And if by some miracle she were to get the nod to lead the Republican party into the next general election we will witness a most embarrassing of electoral trouncings since Mondale got crushed by Reagan.
I defend Palin vigorously from the hatred and smears from the Left and admire her commitment to what is right and true. For the most part I share her politics, values, and ideology. And I think she makes a great fundraiser and cheerleader for the Right in general and the Tea Party in particular. But she had her chance for glory and success on the national stage and frankly blew it.

Geographically, Alaska is as large as California, Texas, Montana and a portion of New Mexico combined. The citizens of any state in the Union except Alaska can drive from one end of their state to another in a day.
Sorry, but nobody has been constantly bashed in the media like Palin has. Did I say I wanted Obama to win? I want him defeated yesterday, but I also live in the land of reality.
You haven't yet *demonstrated* that Palin can't or won't win: so saying, Nugent is like Palin, great guy but he won't win either, fails to prove your point, and is logically invalid.
Cheers!
Either one would've lost.
Nice try, though.
Comparing Alaska to California (Over 37 million people) and giving Palin credit to that equivalent is rather ignorant.
One per cent of Alaska is privately owned. So your Geographic theory is full of holes.
And look how that turned out.
Click here for a comparison of the Tea Party's record vs. Karl Rove.
Cheers!
Ditto for me and my husband.
Right after we heard Sarah’s first speech he said to send the campaign 200 dollars. Before that, we were just in the pits over the fact that McCain was the GOP nominee. The pony in the poop of having McCain there, was our introduction to Sarah. There’s no denying she has something very special. She was born with the ability to lead.
I think she has the mens vote.
Yep, whether she wins the primary or not, she has a positive influence on getting conservative candidates out there running for office. I like Michelle Bachmann. I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed with a thing I’ve heard her say. Right here in WI, we have Congressman Paul Ryan who is pretty darned good too. I like how he stands up to everyone and sticks to his guns. And we elected Senator Ron Johnson too (kicked out Russ Feingold), who was inspired to run because he was disgusted that ObamaCare passed against the will of the people. Lots of people have had enough and are sticking their necks out to run for office.
Influence? That’s why Joe Miller won the election, right? Oh wait...
I tried the nose holding routine last time around. My thought was that McLame would croak in office and leave Sarah President.
I am focused on only supporting Sarah Palin for 2012.
You and 50 million others.
Sadly, I think you are right. I find it interesting, because Palin isn’t even the most Conservative candidate out there. I was very disappointed at her cowering in the face of the homosexual agenda. People also forget that she flip-flopped on TARP, and she is constantly touting her “feminism.”
Feminism is evil. You can’t be a principled Conservative and adhere to it.
I guess when you have nothing else, you resort to ad hominem and lying? I didn’t like Castle, and I made that abundantly clear, but I recognized that O’Donnell couldn’t win in Delaware, plus I had issues with her lack of integrity on a host of issues.
So you are resorting to smearing Herman Cain as a “pizza guy?”
Really?
And I’M the “troll?”
I really think you should evaluate your positions. You are worshiping a person (Palin) rather than holding to a principled position.
Wait... I thought you said Polls didn’t matter? Regardless, the exit polls showed a dead heat race between Castle and Coons... within the MOE... Of course, you probably don’t know the significance of MOE. (44-43) is an absolute tie, especially when you consider the “no sure” category. When faced with hard data like that, it is laughable to say that he would have lost.
The Tea Party is many people, Palin is just one person. A lot easier to defame one person and get away with it. The liberal media has done this to great affect for years.
And the RINO / establishment candidates (Whitman and Fiorina) lost in California, in the midst of a nationwide Tsunami for the GOP, despite the call that they were the most (ahem!) "electable".
Nice try, though.
“I really think you should evaluate your positions. You are worshiping a person (Palin) rather than holding to a principled position.”
And your principled position was to support Castle in DE, for power sake. I remember your post as well on Castle’s behalf.
COD got rid of Castle, and for that many of us here will be forever greatful.
