The Congress AND many in the Military, including many of LTC Lakins' commanders ACKNOWLEDGE there IS an issue with Barry's eligibility. YET, they ALL pass the damn buck. This is totally unacceptible! Question is, what can be done besides writing yet MORE letters which history has proven does NOTHING.

He sought advice and confirmation of Barry's eligibility and his orders being lawful from:

* legal assistance at Aberdeen Proving Grounds - Result = Ignored him
* his commander and supervisor - Who acknowledge there IS an issue. - Result = They don't know what to do
* Submits Article 138 complaint to his company commander - Result = they tell him his Article 138 complaint was deficient, so the Army didn’t have to answer it.
* LTC Lakin then writes letters to his congressional "representation" - Result = 1 Senator ignores him, the other say's the issue was "twittered" and therefore resolved and his Congressman forwards this issue to military affairs but apparently doesn't get answers to Lakin's questions and concerns.
* After being transferred to the Pentagon, he raised the issue with his clinic’s commander - Result = Commander acknowledges there IS an issue BUT had no guidance as to what to do.
* LTC Lakin then submitted another Article 138 complaint, this one routed through General Casey - Result = General Casey wasn’t in his chain of command, so his Article 138 complaint wouldn’t be addressed.
* LTC Lakin then goes to Capitol Hill for face-to-face meetings with one Congressman and high-level staffers. They acknowledge there IS an issue BUT but the media ridiculed it. Result = they let it go.

"Concern About Obama's Eligibility Throughout the Chain-of-Command"

Your right Starwise...this immensely important issue deserves it's own thread.

Lakin is standing up for The Constitution. The courts and legislative support the elites. Money talks. We are serf and the military are cannon fodder/targets to amuse the Saudi king and Islam.

Excellent post as usual rx.

Sad to say though, this reaction by our military to me is prima facie evidence that we the people can no longer rely on our military to defend us against treason from within. They have shown they won’t do it and will in fact crucify one of their own officers to avoid defending this nation against a domestic enemy. They don’t care about this nation anymore, they only care about personal careers and advancement through the ranks. I used to think it would be ridiculous to even suggest that if commanded to shoot or herd their neighbors and relatives into the nearest gulag they would fight. Now I’m convinced they will do whatever they are ordered to do.

Prima facie evidence #2 as to my belief being the correct one is the response over and over on FR from fellow freepers willing to jump on the same military bandwagon seeking to crucify another officer rather than get to the truth of the matter of Obama’s eligibility. If a conservative website can’t come to this officer’s defense why would we think anyone else would?

I hate to admit it, but I’ve given up. We’re well on the road to tyranny and I no longer see any way out of it. We’re toast when our own military won’t defend us any longer.

If that is really the case then I can foresee the DADT repeal bringing more “birthers” out from the shadows.

It is surely going to pass now that Scott Brown-eye has sold out. If there is to be an immediate backlash, it could involve this upcoming change that many officers and enlisted men/women do not support.

He was advised to go to Afghanistan and then raise the issue while he was on deployment. He considered this a “worse” option. He said it would be “extremely wrong to raise this in a combat zone.”

Ah, wie so.

David wants Bathsheba and sends word to put her husband at the front of a big fight, where he is killed.

Wrong for Lakin to raise the issue in harm’s way 1/2 a world away?

What, disn’t he know that he should have talked to Holbrooke? Or Russert?

He agreed with Mr. Puckett that he used his deployment orders as a vehicle to increase the level of attention that the issue would receive. He confirmed that there were “lots of people urging you to stick to your guns.” In a reply likely to hurt him with the members, he answered: “Yes, including enlisted members and officer members.”

How can this be good for morale? Geeze! Obama could resolve this with a nod of his head. I strongly suspect that he won't because he CAN'T!

One Senator didn’t reply. One said the issue had been raised “and Twittered about and been found not to be an issue.”

Like to know which one of the brain trusts said that. Udall and Bennet are both in the tank for 0bozo either way.

The action of the military clearly displays an intent to force obedience to the chain of command right up to the Commander in Chief regardless of fealty to the Constitution. This was not the intent of the Founders and effectively leaves us with no protection against domestic enemies. This is terribly bad precedent. Remember today. They have seeded the field and I fear the crops it will produce.

WikiLeaks can disclose 250,000 State Department documents but no one single document related to the greatest fraud perpetrated on the American citizenry. It just tells you that Obama and Assange are in cahoots with our defacto leader George Soros.

Until Jan 3rd, this will almost certainly get the same results to date...especially with those who are "represented" by liberals. Let's hope that changes after the 3rd!

The more the pressure they feel from their constituents, the more likely they will be to actually do something. If they hear crickets, we can expect to continue to hear crickets.

" Concern About Obama's Eligibility Throughout the Chain-of-Command "

No way !
This can't be true !

Yes, or course, the OBOTS and Anti-Birthers are right !
This can't be true as we are told, this is just a " Fringe " issue and non-important issue that should beforgotten about........SARCASM.

OHH THANK YOU !
THANK YOU !
THANK YOU !
OBOTS AND ANTI-BIRTHERS !!! we are feeling the love here now !
You guys are keeping this issue of Obama's eligibility ( ahh, I mean, the lack thereof, that is ).. alive and well.... we congratulate you !!!

Come on us Bithers ( ahh, I mean, PRO-Constitutionalist ) give the OBOTS and the Anti-Birthers our love and thanks to them, for if it was not for them, this issue would have been forgotten about.... they have given us the hope to go on, and the challenge to fight on and not become complacent,,, just remember how Rome persecuted the Church, the church grew and flourished under persecution.....

Good to see the eligibility issue hasn't gone away.

Lakin should have just asked Snopes if obama is eligible or if that failed, asked his senator to look into it for him.

Then he would have gotten the same 'obama is eligible' form letter from his senator that the rest of us got and he could use the form letter for his chain of command. All orders flow from the form letter.

Obviously he didn’t decide to disobey his deployment orders simply based on an opinion. He sought advice and guidance at every level of command and through his Congressional representatives and what he got back from them did more to confirm his reservations than to pacify them. The DoD proved itself unaccountable for its own command structure and it remains in that state today.

It’s time for our Military to “man up!”, Time for them to protect “US” from all enemies both foreign and domestic! There was an attempted take over of our United States of America from a Communist coup that got a illegal foreign puppet elected POTUS! This is the closest we ever came to being overthrown from within. Stand up and fight the Evil! Our future is in grave peril! This situation is far from being over. “They” are still trying to steal a trillion dollars before we throw them out in January. STOP THEM NOW! Wake Up America! Fight to remain FREE!

“He talked to his commander and supervisor who said there was an issue and there were questions, but they did not know what to do to answer them.”

Put some ice on it. Ouch.

I swear to protect and defend the constitution, unless people laugh at me... or call me a racist ....

This is just too funny. This is like watching a Montey Python show or Benny Hill.
