Correct, a Gotha G.V heavy bomber from WW1. Flights of 20 or 30 of these bombers would hit London late in WW1, sometimes killing hundreds of people, and were the first exponents of “Shock and awe”. Evidently their engines and pusher propellers gave them an otherworldly sound that terrified the citizenry.
