HER surrogate in her own home state was Miller. HER surrogate in Nevada was Angle. HER surrogate in Delaware was O'Donnell. Granted, all these were great conservatives who were to be preferred over their RINO and Dem opponents, but Palin couldn't get them across the line. Palin is not an appealing to candidate to many conservatives, half the GOP, or hardly any of the Independent voters. I consider these races repudiations of Sarah as much as the nominees.

Why don't you look at the full record of Palin endorsed candidates instead of cherry picking candidates from the three best Democrat races.

Even with all of the negativity, Sarah Palin gave the McCain campaign a shot in the arm and dramatically increased his support in the latter part of the campaign.

McCain's on campaign handlers held her back, but she still came out as the highlight, even overshadowing McCain. She came across as a conservative fighter, while Juan came across as a wimpy RINO.

By the same token that a VP running make can greatly help a campaign, a bad one can also hurt a campaign.

Sarah has stated that she will run her own campaign if she decides to run...so I'm sure she'll pick someone that fits the conservative mold as her running mate. I think her success will hinge on who she picks.

I'm also sure that a Sarah VP will not be a "ceremonial position", but will be utilized to be a working VP helping to get things done in a vibrant and productive manner.

Unfortunately, everytime someone make a good speech, or even says a clever line, people pop up wanting that person to run for POTUS or VP. But, one brick does not a bricklayer make.

obama was elected on slick teleprompTer lines and gimmick slogans (along with some ballot stuffing), and we should have all learned our lesson on how well that worked out. The last two hard left presidents relied on slick slogans - clinton with "it's the economy stupid" and "the man from hope", and obama with "hope and change" and "yes we can". Both men did not live up to their slogans or promises, both were failures with shameful legacies.

It's ironic how someone like obama hates the free market, but used the very essence of the free market - advertising and marketing - to get elected. Hypocrical bastard.

Even if Palin decides not to run, she will evermore be the conservative "kingmaker". When she talks, people listen. She shows no fear and regardless of the mold in which the MSM tries to cast her, she DOES have the background and experience to be President, as much as Clinton and a lot more than obama, junior senator (who did not finish her term, and community orgasmizer does not a resume' make).

Sarah is not going to hitch her wagon to dead weight, if she gets in the race, she'll get in it to win. Being from Georgia, I don't know much about Perry, but if he is truly a RINO as some have stated, I hate him already. RINO's are traitors and cowards. They value compromise over integrity and will sell their mothers for a vote.

Take that to the bank Al. Same goes for RNC Chair. Won’t happen. Both jobs would be of nil interest to her now.

I think a DeMint/Rubio ticket would be formidable.

She’s as credible as Reagan was. I seem to remember he got elected just fine.

She may be as credible as Reagan to you, but I'd bet many people don't believe that a person who served as governor of a sparsely populated state for two years is as qualified as one who served as governor of the most populous state for eight years.

I like Sarah a lot, but after the debacle of the current inexperienced president, I suspect plenty of people will want someone with much more experience in elected office.

“My prediction...Perry/Palin”

Hopefully you’re not talking about my governor. Anyway, there are enough of us Texans to keep Al Gore’s 1988 Texas Presidential Campaign Manager off of the ticket.

Christie has lost me with his attacks on Palin, with his views on immigration. Don’t trust him.

Specifically, with what tasks would Palin have trouble?

“I wish Conservatives would open their eyes”

My eyes are open and all I see are generic platitudes. I wish I could jump on the Palin bandwagon, but every time I hear her speak, it’s disappointing. Reagan drew me in. She makes me want to turn the channel.

I dont think that’s how a lot of people look at it. They just see two years as governor and think that’s not enough.

Foreign policy experience is her most obvious shortcoming. You can say that about most governors, but I think the combination of that with her short stint as AK governor, will give a lot of folks pause.

No way Perry beats Palin in the primary. Zero chance.

Not to mention, I want Palin for President. She's the only elected Statewide Executive administator to have gone after, prosecuted, convicted and jailed those of her predecessors whom she knew to have acted criminally.

She's the toughest, and her politics are exactly my own. She may go with Perry, though, as her VP, if he's interested.

Since you’ve obviously been doing some extremely heavy smoking with primo grass for several days before this incredibly naive and stupid idea erupted from your smoke ringed head, you need to put the ganja down and seek immediate psychological help. This is NEVER going to happen and you my friend have just been relegated to oblivion!

"I still think that in a Palin v Obama, Sarah could win. I’d be more concerned if she went up against Hillary."

Which exactly why when Hillary laughs off those questions, she's not to be trusted.

While you've been asleep for the past two years, Sarah Palin has been leading the resistance against this communist onslaught. She has been consistent and unwavering in her speeches and writings in support of conservative values and policies.

Whenever any of these nutless, gutless, unprincipled RINO guys can grow a pair and come out fighting for commonsense conservatism based on the US Constitution and the Republican Party Platform, keep at it day after day for two or more years, take the slings and arrows from the Democrats and establishment Republicans, and still show up to fight the good fight against the communists -- then we might consider letting them in the #2 spot on the next presidential ticket.

Unfortunately, none of your RINO guys have a clue about what is conservative. All they know about is corruption, crony capitalism, treason, etc., etc., much like their Democrat colleagues.

Let them learn from Sarah Palin, a real leader and conservative.

“If Perry runs and the economy is still where it’s at, he’ll win the primaries easily.”

Huh? Perry won’t win anything easily. He couldn’t even get reelcted governor easily.

If Palin runs, she wins. Period. Regardless of what Rick Perry does or does not do.

If Palin does not run well, in that case.....who cares? It will be Ford McDole Romneybush, and the country will be sunk.

IMO, if Sarah chooses to run, Perry’s potential influen5ial position as head of the RGC could be a great asset in the overall campaign plan. I do not think that America is eager to have anyone else in the White House from Texas however. I voted for Perry for Governor because we had more than enough of White when he was Mayor of Houston. I would not vote for him in the WH right now. Let’s see how he does in the new session with Voter ID, putting the Texas National Guard on the border and successfully shutting it down and cutting expenses.
