What Is The Best U.S. State To Move To Insulate Yourself From The Coming Economic Meltdown?

snip

As the economy continues to crumble and as millions of Americans find it nearly impossible to find a good job, many of them have been wondering if things are any better in other parts of the country. And without a doubt, some areas of the U.S. are complete and total disaster zones at this point. For example, so many houses have been abandoned in Detroit that the mayor has proposed bulldozing one-fourth of the city. In Las Vegas, it was estimated that approximately 65 percent of all homes with a mortgage were "underwater" at the height of the housing crash. The number of people unemployed in the state of California is approximately equal to the populations of Nevada, New Hampshire and Vermont combined.

I wouldn’t want to be in any city where I couldn’t get out of it within 5 to 10 minutes.

Therefore -- absent a full blown miracle -- home gardens will be illegal by January 1, 2011. Also all vitamins, organic food and food supplements will outlawed by these Senate Bills. By this time next year hundreds if thousands of Americans will be out of work due to this VERY BAD legislation.

Some of that stuff has impressive shelf lives.

They can get my home garden when they pry the hoe (and gun) from my cold, dead hands.

Rain away. You do what you have to do. I’ll do what I have to do. In the end, I hope we both make it. Good luck!

I think you are correct in ND and TX cause they have energy. I think states with energy and food will do the best. Blame idiots who watch TV for empower Obama and the left to destroy America. If you watch TV - you helped.

This morning my car wouldn't start. Apparently it can see the corner of my neighbors TV through a gap in the fence and the lace curtains. DAMN THEM for corrupting my car. Now I'll have to burn it so that the infection doesn't spread any further.

On a brighter note, the local Christian TV station was struck by lightning killing all 35 people inside. Serves them right for destroying our country like that.

Next week I'm planning to lead a pitchforks and torches march against the channel 6 newsroom. Those infidels can't go on broadcasting their TV death rays at us and expect to get away with it.

My neighbor used to be a good man. Never even owned a TV set. Then one day he went shopping at Sears and fell into temptation. He wandered into the appliance area and saw 10 minutes of the Packers game on several TV's. He came home, kicked his dog, beat his wife, went on a tri-state killing spree and even put a vote for obama sign in his front yard. (Man I have got to stop watching so much TV, This tinfoil hat is really getting too tight.)

running out and removing all the road signs might not be a bad idea in the event of a real collapse.

That makes perfect sense. Not just nearby but as many as possible within a village or small community.

I live in Pennsylvania flyover country. Our county is not doing too badly. We are 60 miles from Pittsburgh. Lots of farmland. Good schools. Large university. Very patriotic.
We are now, officially, a red state.
Plus, we in Pa can use all the conservatives we can get - to get rid of that loon - Bob Casey Jr! - in the next election!

Most of the mobs would not get far from the cities with the gas stations closed. In fact the true social parasites will wait around for someone to come and take care of them (think Katrina).

As a third generation Californian I resent your remarks. It’s all the liberals who moved here from back east that ruined the place. :)
