Perhaps Obama is hoping to divert attention from the "shellacking" he took last Tuesday, a stunning rebuke to his agenda. So off he goes on this nonsensical trip, Nero spending hundreds of millions (at a time when the country is in dire straits), and what does he get for it? Carmen Miranda.

Probably not. Earlier this week he was said to have rejected a visit to a world famous Sikh temple. The reason given was that their religion requires all men to wear the turban thing. Obama’s handlers refused to allow him to do that, so the declined the invitation.
He’ll get a stimulus spending to buy himself a pyramid in honor of himself when Omullah gets back.

Why any president want to take a controversial trip right after an election when the entire nation is still focused on the news is beyond my understanding.

I would call it a “trying to change the subject” move. His evil handlers are trying to change the focus of him and his agenda being shoved with two hands right back up his rectum by the American people. So, it seems that they thought it best to go do something outlandish in a foreign country with his hag at his side. The slavish news media will have to focus on the trip and not his beat-down that came on the 2nd of November. IMHO.

China is becoming a dangerous force in the Pacific. Our financial situation is making it more and more difficult to hold our superiority of the seas. What other choice do we have but to build strong ties with India - who are also attempting to build naval superiority in the Indian Ocean and beyond? They also have a population that will be a market to rival China for American goods.

The Indian press no doubt knows about his not wearing of head gear at the Sikh temple.
