Bias: Caught with their mikes and mouths open, people at an Alaskan TV station say they were only joking about making up stories about the GOP Senate candidate. Sarah Palin's not laughing, and neither are we.
Like methane bubbling up from the bottom of a swamp, every so often we get glimpses of the overwhelming liberal bias that dominates America's newsrooms, nationally and locally. Such was the case when a call from Anchorage CBS affiliate KTVA to the Joe Miller campaign failed to disconnect and some revelatory comments were recorded.
KTVA general manager Jerry Bever acknowledged in a statement that a call made to Miller spokesman Randy DeSoto to discuss a planned Miller appearance on the newscast failed to properly disconnect and that KTVA staffers were recorded discussing plans on how to concoct embarrassing stories about Miller.
Bever tried to paint the controversy as the incorrect "interpretation of conversation snippets." "The complete conversation," he said, "was about what others might be able to do to cause disruption within the Miller campaign, not what KTVA could do."
Yeah, right. KTVA staffers are clearly heard discussing how they might look for known sex offenders at Miller rallies, not that somebody else might. One reporter speculates about putting out a Twitter/Facebook alert about Miller being punched at a rally.

Good for IBD
I’ll bet there were more “child molesters” in that newsroom than you’d find at all of the TEA Party rallies combined.
Seriously, is Sarah Palin such a genius that she'd use this line knowing specifically how great a headline it would make for an endless array of articles about this scandal?
Child molesters are an integral part of any reliable election coverage, everybody knows this..
Does anyone know the names of these nitwits and have they been fired?
Lying bastard.
Loved the last sentence.
It’s Miller time and not just in Alaska!!
Exactly, she may sound like she is making exclamations at times, but I think she knows exactly what she is doing.
I would like to see a list of their advertisers. Anyone have that?
This whole story is about nothing. There is nothing here. It was not going to be a smear because liberals like child molesters and consider them a vital part of diversity and Obama’s America. They were actually looking to make Miller’s candidacy look good because he has overcome the right wing objection to diddling little children and has taken a progressive view of modern sexual attitudes.
Really.
Palin never ceases to amaze me. I think what she says is a strategy. She knows exactly what kind of reaction it will create.
The media miasma.
“Seriously, is Sarah Palin such a genius that she’d use this line knowing specifically how great a headline it would make for an endless array of articles about this scandal?”
You betcha!
Tonight on The O'Reilly Factor, Palin said there is an estblished term in Alaska: "CBC" or "Corrupt Bastards Club." I don't know if that was her spin in an attempt to back away from the comment. In any case, speaking plainly is one of her best assets, IMO.
Sarah Palin is truly good person and a strategic and political genius. She is two steps ahead of the Media, the DNC and the GOP, at all times. You are 100% correct. She knows exactly the reactions her actions will create. I find her intellectually fascinating: she not only gets it right (unlike any other current Politician), she gets it right consistently.
If America wants to experiment with Hope and Change, they should choose Palin.
“Only joking” about child molesters. Good on them.
No, this was in her book about a group of “corrupt ba$tards” who even thought they were so above the law, they joked about the title and even had hats made with CBC (Corrupt Ba$tards Club) on them. IIRC, she kinda brought them down.
Heh heh.
