No one is safe, not even liberals, from islamic supremacism and the assault on free speech. I am no fan of Juan Williams, but I will defend to my death his right to speak his mind.
During an appearance Monday on Fox News' "O'Reilly Factor," Juan Williams said: "When I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous."
National Public Radio has fired Mr. Williams for making this statement. And while I do not share Mr. Williams sentiments, so what?

Furthermore, as human beings and therefore members of the animal kingdom, we are hardwired to be aware of danger. A lamb is always going to be more afraid of a lion than he is of a goat.
Since 9-11, we have been repeatedly admonished to be alert and vigilant, particularly in crowds, on trains, and, especially, on airplanes. But, according to the libs, we are not allowed to take notice of the fact that Muslims are ten million times more likely to commit a terrorist act than every other group in the world combined. So, just when, exactly, are we supposed to apply this due diligence? After the box-cutters are put at our throats? When they strike the match but have not yet applied it to the explosive?
Precisely!
Juan is one of the more objective liberals. I like the guy, and hate to see him done in at NPR by simply telling the truth.
What he said is generally how I feel also.
Juan is nicely typecast as the earnest but wrongheaded liberal reader of talking points who attempts to win arguments by interrupting and talking over the grownups on the “All star” panel. I wonder if Fox can keep him in that role now that he's lost his credential as a NPR flunkie.
Maybe Juan will not carry so much of their water anymore.
That statement annoyed me too. Why did she have to say that? Just to show she’s not really afraid/hostile towards Muslims? I never thought I’d see the day Pam Geller was politically correct.
Juan is right to be frightened. It’s unbearable to me to enter an aircraft (usually from England to America) and see the burqa-clad women and unwashed male Muslims boarding. If that makes me a racist, so be it.
Now reading that Mara Liason has been warned by NPR too.
As for Jane.......I have mercifully forgotten her last name..
Bravo. I assume that this means that this person defended the property rights and first amendment rights of Muslims who wanted to build a mosque in Manhattan, right? If not, I say a plague on all enemies of free speech, right or left.
All I can think of when reading about Juan getting axed and Mara being “warned” is Colnel Klink on the old show “Hogans Heros” saying..
“I KNOW NOTHING.. I SAY NOTHING..I SEE NOTHING”.
NPR, their shrinking ILK and old man, spooky dude George Soros can all shove it!
Juan wasn’t isn’t my favorite commentator by any stretch - but he shouldn’t have been fired.
And this morning IMUS of all people was not sticking up for Juan.
Blech. If I had to choose between IMUS and Juan I’d choose Juan every time.
we are hardwired to be aware of danger...
Right you are.
For what it is worth, free speech is in the gallows standing squarely on the trap door.
I’m a little confused. Didn’t obama say that in these trying times people are scared and frightened? To me, Juan Williams comments are a manifestation of obama’s comment.
So, if we are to believe obama what Williams said is understandable.
It was Jane Skinner. One day she was just gone off of Fox. Poof.
Yeah well, mercy is overrated. Jane Hall
Sharpston!
I went to my favorite liberal site and found their thread on this. Some of them are RABID liberals.
They are in 100% unison against NPR.
This is gonna leave a mark.
Ya, I wondered about Jesse Jackson too. He’s “The Reverend Jesse Jackson”. But where is his church?
