Confirmation of Rasmussen poll on Sarah Palin's F/UF released one month ago
AP-GfK ^ | October 20, 2010 | techno

Posted on 10/20/2010 7:25:56 PM PDT by techno

On September 20, 2010 Rasmussen released a poll of 1000 LIKELY VOTERS that showed Sarah Palin's F/UF at 48/49.

Well today in a poll of 1501 ADULTS, including 846 LIKELY VOTERS by AP-GfK Sarah Palin's F/UF were found to be 49/50. (Obama's F/UF 52/48).

Don't let anybody tell you that Palin is UNELECTABLE. Among LIKELY VOTERS she is now almost as popular as Obama.

Reagan was down by 25% to Carter with 8 months left to go in the election in 1980.

I’d hate to be your spouse or kid. Wow! You are difficult to please. Sarah Palin is currently not occupying any political office. There is no way she should be this close to any sitting POTUS in F/UF, no matter if his name is Obama.

Obama has been getting positive media coverage for the past two years. The media has been trying to destroy Palin for the past two years

And yet, she polls nearly as well as The One, fully two years out from the 2012 election. That has GOT to be giving Team Obama puke-your-guts nightmares.

At this point, there's simply no profit in questioning where this is all leading. Sarah will be the Republican nominee, then go on to win the election in a commanding finish.

And I don't care if I have to move heaven and earth - I will be standing there in person when she takes the oath of office.

Yeah, you sound concerned. Bristol Palin is doing "Dances with the Stars" a respectable entertainment show that seems to be boosting the favorables of Governor Palin to a prime demographic.

I consider this whole celebrity worship/reality TV phenomenon beneath serious leaders of people. Perhaps times have changed and this stuff is so mainstream now that it won't be viewed that way by the masses, but I still think a Presidential contender should avoid these shows. For that matter, I don't think it is Presidential to appear on the Tonight Show, David Letterman, The Daily Show, etc.

You can blame Richard Nixon for starting the tradition with his appearance on Laugh In.

The other has yet to run her own 700 million dollar campaign, and she is not even in office, the media hates her, and she is pulling all this off on her own, yet there she is, at an excellent starting point for a $700,000,000.00 campaign to start selling herself, and to become the official nominee of the Republican party, that and a good veep choice should be able to take her to 51% easily enough.

This is correct. Palin has virtually the entire media and what passes as the intellectual establishment against her, is directly challenging the status quo on many fronts, and is detested by most who tend to shape public opinion - and yet her favorable numbers are still reasonably high.

Meanwhile, BHO is a sitting President, has virtually the entire mainstream media and entertainment industry advocating for him every single day and his favorables are hardly better than hers.

Palin is well positioned for a run at the Presidency. I think she will run, and I think she has a very good chance of winning. Anything can happen, but as of right now I don't see how she is any less well positioned than Reagan was 2 years before the 1980 election cycle.

Nixon was on Laugh In, and Reagan hosted Death Vally Days until he was forced by his opponent to quit the TV show because the exposure was an unfair advantage to Reagan.

A future presidential candidate’s daughter that tours giving pro-life and abstinence speeches, doing a family dance show with wonderful demographics for her message is nothing bad, it is helpful.

The ex-Governor hosting an 8 part documentary promoting her beautiful state is nothing bad either, it is helpful.

Both of those activities are beneficial to the conservative cause and to the political climate for a Palin candidacy next year.

Governor Palin is the greatest conservative media genius, that you have ever seen, but your “concern” is noted.

This is the one time I disagree with you. In this day and age the President has to prove he or she is accessible. I have never criticized Obama for appearing on various TV shows but I have criticized him for what he said on these shows like making a joke about Special Olympics. And I will never criticize Obama either for going to McDonalds or playing golf. As for his radical agenda I will castigate him for that every day he is power.

Techno, you sure you're replying to my post #24?

I said that Nixon began the tradition of Presidents appearing on television shows. Someone else had said that they didn't think it was presidential.

Don’t forget Bill Clinton playing the tenor sax whilst wearing some junkie dark sunglasses on the Arsenio Hall Show. Very presidential...

LOL means I'm laughing at your ridiculous comment. You sound like an Obama admirer. What's next for you ... claims of miraculous healings?

I was merely stating a political fact, one that you are unable to dispute evidently. No conservative politician has ever been able to accomplish with the media, what she has pulled off in the last two years, she is clearly a media genius.

Being unable to make an argument, you keep posting nothing, with a little personal insulting in it.

She's a celebrity whose media accomplishments bear a rather interesting resemblance to those of Ross Perot.

She's not really as great as you would have her be. But hey -- you're in love, and far be it for me to be the one to disabuse you of your feelings.

Still no challenge to the statement, but continuous postings of insults to me, what is this attack on me about?

I guess you know that what you are doing on this thread is against the FR rules?

Well you have Buckeye Texas beat by at least 200%. He can do two easily and you seem to have the fours down pat.

Hey, Republic. Double posts only happen to me when I post from my new Android phone. It’s been a recent occurrence for me, since I bought the phone.

When did it start happening with you? Are you posting from a phone? Been able to narrow down the circumstances at all?
