Todays statement relates specifically to the ongoing courts-martial of Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin.
September 3, 2010 Upon receiving word that LTC Lakin would be denied any and all access to discovery and mitigating evidence needed to provide for a legitimate defense, a White Paper was prepared and released by The United States Patriots Union and The United States Bar Association, advising the Lakin defense team to immediately adjust its defense strategy in accordance with established history and law concerning Mr. Barack Obamas constitutional authority as Commander-in-Chief.
In short, to drop the search for an insignificant birth certificate and focus on the right question at hand. A second White Paper was published last week.
We believe that there are only two potential outcomes of this courts-martial, and that both outcomes bring certain challenges. Our first priority must be to unite in defense of LTC Lakin in an effort to arrive at the best possible outcome for both Lakin and the nation.
*snip*
It is our opinion that the existing legal team representing LTC Lakin should be re-energized and reinforced immediately by a more experienced military legal team.

How about a response?
Why, I responded on the original thread and to several people via freepmail who weren’t jerks about it. I found the original source and sent it to several people and they were checking it... not sure anything came from it. I said early on that it looked like it could be a DU game because I found a whole bunch of different uses for that footprint on their site. I was the first person to question its authenticity, not that it mattered.
How about posting the source of that Dr’s business card/byline that also had the almost identical clip art baby footprint that was posted a day before mine?
I requested the mods pull it before there were many questions because I found a bunch of similar images on DU where they were playing games with the photos. I questioned its authenticity from the original find. A mod didn’t pull it on their own, I freepmailed them because I couldn’t verify it and I believed it wasn’t real.
Not that it mattered.
However, in the same thread, someone else posted an image of a doctor’s business card/byline that had the same footprint as a clip art a day before that image I found.. they should undergo the same questions.
From within minutes I found that on a blogger image account I posted that it was probably fake because DU was playing games with that image. If certain posters wanted to get all OCD about it, that is their bag.
..and the note I made to myself was it appeared the source possibly came from this blog.
http://lamecherry.blogspot.com/2009/08/dr-james-ow-angawa-mb-chb-dctd-dph.html
You’ll notice they are also posing other images of the same two footprints (well over a year before this incident).. the one on this post is the same business card/tagline I referenced and was using the same layout a year prior.
I’m biding my time...it won’t be pretty!
Thanks.
Also see 144, that was the source blog (if memory serves me correctly). The other similar image there was from over a year ago and was the same source someone prior to me posted the image you see on that link that looks like a business card.

Did we ever saw this kind of military "Treason"(?) after WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia???
I remember clearly the Nuremberg trial:
The Nuremberg Trials were a series of military tribunals, held by the main victorious Allied forces of World War II, most notable for the prosecution of prominent members of the political, military, and economic leadership of the defeated Nazi Germany. The trials were held in the city of Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany, in 1945-46, at the Palace of Justice. The first and best known of these trials was the Trial of the Major War Criminals before the International Military Tribunal (IMT), which tried 22 of the most important captured leaders of Nazi Germany. It was held from November 20, 1945 to October 1, 1946.
Since he was dropped from SAD’s Passport application (Stanley Ann Soetoro?), the possibility is that he is still an Indonesian citizen and an illegal alien???
You're living up to your moniker. No one said Vattel was the law of the land; just that the Supreme Court used his definition of natural born citizen.
If it was we'd have an official national religion.
For the blind faithers who religiously defend the undocumented occupant in the Oval Office, they already do.
Vattel is used in context like a legal dictionary that the framers used so we can understand the terms they used in the legal context they viewed them from. There may be terms we use now that had a different context or meaning when the framer's wrote the Constitution. It isn't an end, but it is a means to an end, it gives the NBC argument (re two citizen parents) a legal base to start from.
The Supreme Court made it clear that the definition for natural born citizen exists outside the Constitution, well after the 14th amendment was ratified. IOW, they had a perfect opportunity to say that the 14th amendment resolved any doubts about natural born citizenship being dependent on the citizenship of the parents. They did not do so.
The argument that you can have different sets of citizenship rights that attach to a 14th Amendment Citizen depending on the citizen's parentage or other factors flies in the face of the logic on which the 14th Amendment was adopted.
This is a poor argument because the 14th amendment only pertains to "Citizens of the United States." The original Constitution did establish 'different sets of citizenship rights,' and the 14th amendment did nothing to change that because it failed to specify applicability to natural born citizenship.
In context of who can be eligible to be president, there's nothing else to look at. Nothing newer has been enacted or modified. The most significant and relevant modification to citizenship law since the framing of the Constitution would be the 14th amendment, yet even after it was ratified, the Supreme Court still noted on two occasions that the definition of natural born citizen could only be found outside of the Constitution ... as in NOT within the 14th amendment.
Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American Army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen.- George Washington, Constitutional Convention, on July 25th, 1787
I believe what you quoted was actually in a letter written by John Jay to Washington. This reinforces the point I made earlier. Thanks.
Your typically blurring Alinsky agenda won't cut it here. Check with the PUMA crowd and see what they said!
Here's an excerpt:
The Birthers were back in force at the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville.
"WorldNet Daily founder Joseph Farah used his prime-time speaking slot, broadcast on C-Span, to pump up claims that President Obama was not born in the United Statesand received enthusiastic applause from the audience. Birther queen Orly Taitz was in the house, making the rounds as a celebrity conspiracy theorist.
The persistence of this much-debunked rumor is a reminder of how the fringe is blurring with the base in American politics. It provoked conservative Internet impresario Andrew Breitbart into a confrontation with Farah, the new guard vs. the old, with Breitbart arguing that attempts to prove Obama was born abroad are stupid and self-destructive, "a losing issue."
"I determined that I was going to start digging up every bit of dirt that I could find on him and convince the Democratic Party to dump him and make Hillary the nominee." A quote/unquote from Linda Starr
The high-profile resurgence of the Birther claims on cable television provoked much self-satisfaction from liberals as the latest evidence of the influence of wingnuts on conservative politics.
Wingnuts book cover Wingnuts: How the Lunatic Fringe is Hijacking America. By John Avlon. 304 Pages. Beast Books. . But there's an inconvenient truth liberals are going to have to confront: The Birthers began not on the right, but on the left.
Investigations for my new book, Wingnuts, revealed that the Birther conspiracy theory was first concocted by renegade members of the original Obama haters, Party Unity My Ass, known more commonly by their acronym, the PUMAs. They were a splinter group of hard-core Hillary Clinton supporters who did not want to give up the ghost after the bitter 50-state Bataan Death March to the 2008 Democratic nomination.
In the early summer of '08, message boards on sites like PUMAParty.com began lighting up with the ultimate reversal-of-fortune fantasythat their party's nomination could be overturned on constitutional grounds. "Obama May Be Illegal to Be Elected President!" read one representative e-mail: "This came from a USNA [U.S. Naval Academy] alumnus. It'll be interesting to see how the media handle this...WRITE TO YOUR LOCAL newspaper editors etc. Keep this out there everyday possible. Also write to the DNC too!"
That June, the Obama campaign released his certificate of live birth on its Web site as part of its "fight the smears" effort. Factcheck.org and other organizations examined the document in person and declared it genuine: "Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said." But posters at the PUMA sites were unimpressed: "Nobody believes it's for real, except the Kool-Aid drinkers themselves."
Except the phrase “Natural Born Citizen” didn’t appear in any translation of Vattel until 10 years AFTER the Constitution was written, and it is a poor translation of what he wrote, which was - if one just transliterates - ‘the natives, or indigenous’.
Pretty hard for the Founders to use Vattel as a legal dictionary for NBC when Vattel didn’t HAVE NBC until AFTER the Constitution. Had they relied on Vattel for their legal term, they would have required the President be a “native citizen”...
You keep repeating the same debunked nonsense. Vattel wrote about natural citizenship occurring at birth. There’s no other way to translate that other than natural born citizen. Second, the Supreme Court had no problem with the translation and saying that it WAS the nomenclature known to the founders.
Also when at the same time you are an Indonesian citizen???
