The whole idea of a career, of having to find a job (nowadays, any job), and keep it whether you like it or not, just in order to survive – the way we do now – is a relatively new development in human history. It was not such a struggle and didn’t often force us to do things that were against our nature just to survive.

Well, the operative word is "relatively", but beyond that...WOW!

Does this DUmmie (a fitting term for this naive little jerk) really think that working for a living is a new development? How bass-ackwards can one person be? What's "relatively" new is the concept that the government "owes" one their livelihood.

Hey PJ. Think I got behind you in the 10 item checkout line yesterday. The Checkee brought a full basket to the 10 item line and then produced about a thousand coupons.

I diverted to the regular checkout lines. When I left, the coupon bearer was still holding up the 10 item line.

How lazy does one have to be? It is this attitude that really burns me up. I had a nice white collar job that I loved, then the company folded. Now I am working a blue collar job, I get up before the crack of dawn and bust my butt for 10 hours doing hard labor in the elements. You have to do what you have to do to survive. And then these lazy spoiled idiots sit and whine about how horrible it is that they have to work.

How can anyone be so completely stupid and still exist? Mere survival was a full-time job for many people in this country just a hundred years ago, and still is today in lots of third world countries.
