Homeless in San Francisco? How can this be? It is the most progressive city in the country, run by progressive, liberal democrats, represented by Ms. Progressive herself, Nancy Pelosi. In a country with a progressive, liberal President and progressive, liberals holding both the House and the Senate?
You would think in DUtopia it would be all ice cream and dollar menus and homeless wouldn’t exist.
Maybe one day they’ll wake up to the failures of their approach and that they are the ones creating the problem, not fixing it....na... their heads are too far up their a** to see the issue right in front of their faces. Just like I doubt Ms. Bobbolink has never once actually opened her own home to the homeless or given a single one a job- she just advocates for someone else (ie the Government) to do it for her.
How did Charleton Heston get in the DU thread?
Ding ding ding ... we have a winner. San Fran is ridiculously expensive.
I still remember an episode in my teen hood when I was in Old Town Alexandra, VA and there was a vagrant outside the door with a “hungry” sign.
I said, “I will buy you a burger.” He said, “No, just give me money.” I said..”If you’re hungry, I’d rather buy you a burger.”
I got a stream of expletives and he scared me so much I ran.
I must say, The Mickey Dees at the Presidio is very nice
"DUtopia" . . . I'm lovin' it! LOL!
The French Laundry is actually in a little farm town called Yountville outside San Fran, but your point is well made. (just substitute the Fifth Floor). BTW, The French Laundry is worth every time. I had the luck to be able to go several years ago.
I thought Donalds was unhealthy...didnt Marie Obama ban it. and Palosi looks more like the ferrit picture of Putin everytime i see her.
LOL!
Perhaps Thomas Hobos has a point.
Then again maybe not
Two legs, check.
Able to dress themselves, check (sort of).
Plenty of time to walk into the McDonalds right behind them and get a job, check.
And to think my BLIND Aunt was ashamed to get a weekly $10 Welfare Check after she lost her job sewing clothes in a Brooklyn Warehouse (sweatshop) back in the late 40’s. My Father had to FORCE her go with him to the Welfare office.
BTW - Did anybody ask those folks how the Obama “Summer of Recovery” is working out for them?
She is going to so kill me..
“the suits at the Chronicle are @ssholes. . . .
[That’s a dangerous thing to be in San Francisco.] “
CRACK ME UP!
thanks for a great laugh !
Yes, that's what they'll do to you in San Francisco!
Considered for a while the top restaurant in the USA.
Thanx for the idea to call her "McNugget Gal"! Perfect!
A moment of clarity in the tiny DUmmie mind?
I remember San Francisco as being a city of contrasts — very expensive & classy, yet full of hippie/homeless. That city is totally surreal. I wouldn’t want to go back there for anything.
