Challenge Accepted: Conservative gay organization head agrees to debate WorldNetDaily editor
The Daily Caller ^ | September 4, 2010 Updated September 5, 2010 | Chris Moody

Posted on 09/05/2010 10:56:10 AM PDT by Kaslin

In the wake of a dispute between WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah and conservative author Ann Coulter over her decision to headline an event sponsored by GOProud, a gay conservative organization, Farah and GOProud Chairman Christopher Barron will square off in a debate later this month at WND’s convention.

Barron told The Daily Caller that Farah challenged him to debate over whether GOProud can be considered “conservative” after Farah argued on his site that there is no place within conservatism for an organization like GOProud, a group that promotes itself as “the only national organization representing gay conservatives and their allies.” TheDC is waiting for confirmation from WND about the debate’s details.

Farah dropped Coulter from a speaking engagement at WND’s annual “Taking America Back” convention in Miami for agreeing to speak at GOProud’s “Homocon” party in New York. (Coulter later said that Farah had never actually booked her for a speech, calling him a “swine” and a “publicity whore.”)

Farah contends that groups like GOProud are trying to commit a “coup” to unroot the conservative movement with an “agenda…to take the homosexual agenda inside the conservative tent.”

Barron insists that his group is genuinely conservative and said he looks forward taking on Farah in front of a WND crowd.

“Since we announced that conservative author and columnist Ann Coulter would be headlining our Homocon 2010 in New York City, Farah has attacked GOProud, attacked Ann, and challenged our work almost every single day,” Barron said in a statement to The Daily Caller. “I look forward to standing on the stage with Mr. Farah to defend GOProud, to debunk the misinformation he has spread, and to make the case for GOProud’s conservative mission.”

Barron added that conservatism stands at a major crossroads in its acceptance of gays into the movement. A number of high profile conservatives, including Lisa De Pasquale of the Conservative Political Action Conference, Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform and former General Counsel to the National Republican Senatorial Committee Craig Engle, have signed on as official sponsors of GOProud’s event.

The debate will be held on September 17 at 7:30 PM at the Doral Golf and Spa Resort in Miami, Florida.

There sure are a lot of strange “noobs” lately telling us we’re all doomed hypocrites!

Yup. Isn't that interesting.......

You can't even bring yourself to say the word "homosexual" in this post, can you? Yet you claim not to be promoting the homosexual agenda. Well, guess what? Calling them "gay" is promoting the homosexual agenda.

Oh, I'll call them homosexual if you want. I just write gay because it's quicker. Doesn't matter to me either way.

Prop 8 and the coming elections have made people crazy. Liberals know if they can’t cheat enough, Dems will lose. And destroying Prop 8 isn’t a sure thing. They see it all slipping away.

I guess you’ve decided to leave this thread to this little clique of three? (Can’t say I blame you.)

Heheh - homosexuals have perfect freedom to read wherever and whatever they so choose.

There is no need to do any special “outreach” to them as a group. If their group identity is so strong - “Hey, I practice same sex sodomy - you too? Wow - we’re soul brothers!” then that is their problem. If any see themselves as individuals who can think for themselves, great.

You’re fixated on a few talking points and they are going over like a lead balloon. You don’t even pretend to respond in a rational manner to what other people write.

So, have fun growling to yourself. And I’m not insulting you, your own comments condemn you all by themselves.

How many times are you going to tell me you aren't going to talk to me? Hm? Hey, if you think my chances of reaching them are poor, there is a polite way to say that. There's no reason for you to cop this hateful, furious attitude. A TRUE conservative would say to me "Good luck reaching them. I personally don't think we can, but go ahead and try."

But you are enraged that I don't just accept your angry wisdom. I don't know what your problem is, but your stance is not a conservative stance. It's a Christian stance (or you think it is, though it's a pretty nasty version of Christianity.)But it proves my other point. Not that there was ever any doubt.

If what I do in my bedroom is your business, they please do not be upset when I laugh at what you do in yours.

Agreed.

And so you retract and take back your comments from post 10?

Good.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

The correct translation is "He who is without THIS sin cast the first stone". And that passage is about being a hypocrite and has NOTHING to do with correctly judging right from wrong.

Whittaker Chambers

WAS GAY.

Your point?

What was your posting name before you were zotted last time.

Chambers was happily married and the father of two children and remained married until his death. Chambers wasn’t homosexual. He was accussed of that in an effort to protect the blue-blood communist Alger Hiss and assistant Secretary of State trusted by the FDR team.

They also said he was psychotic and a troubled paranoid. They presented red-diaper testimony to try and prove all of these charges. He was a communist that renounced and fought against Communism so any lie was worth it.

Oh, the supposed outside accusations about his involvement in promiscous conduct with men and women alike was backed by that great fountain of truth, the NYT supposedly from their inside knowledge of a supposed letter to J. Edgar Hoover, another fellow the NYT loved to death.

Thanks.

The left were rabid liars throughout our history. And imagine the left using "homosexual" as a smear then and now they use it to get votes, unless it's a Conservative or Republican then it's a smear again. Dems have done the same to Blacks. Liberals are no ones friend. They use everyone. For power.

Chambers was an admitted former communist spy ring operator. He was very frank about his significant failing in life. We do his frank honesty, an honesty that ruined his career as Senior Editor of Time and probably shortened his life, a disservice when we collect every slur about him from the left and try and turn him into some sort of “gay” activist.

The poster was making a larger point, which I was not commenting on, pro or con, but Chambers was a giant but tragic figure who wrecked his life for what he thought was good for the nation and doesn’t need to us using him for a false-front in some arguement.

Man, you do not listen to me. I really respect you and we have talked and agreed on many other topics, but on this we will have to agree to disagree.

YES, there is evidence that sexual identity and orientation are wired at a specific time during the end of the first, beginning of the second trimester of pregnancy. YES, there is evidence that defects in orientation as well as in the actual genitalia are increasing lately. Who knows why? Environmental pseudohormones? I do not know.

I have seen children from earliest ages “act like” the opposite gender, with no child abuse, in perfectly conservative, good families. They obviously did not choose to be “gay” and who knows if they are gay, but they could well be, because adult gays will say that they too were like that at that age.

These are INNOCENT CHILDREN. It is up to us to help these kids, born with this disability, to become full, productive, conservative members of society and stop telling them they are somehow worse sinners than the rest of us. Schizophrenia was formerly thought to be the mother’s fault. I think we are just that backwards on homosexuality too.

Yes, most gays are liberals. I can’t blame them. Liberals welcome them and in fact “glorify” them. We need to counteract that!

You are wrong. See my 538.

It’s not their hormones as adults. It’s not genetic.

And how old is that link you gave me? The “theory” for gay males is not that they did not get enough testosterone. The science is that there are MORE androgens in the uterine environment, creating both the lesbian and the gay male.

We shall have to agree to disagree.

Environmental pseudohormones?

All that crap "science" has been disproven. Read the link that I gave you. Otherwise you're just sticking your fingers in your ears and buying the carefully crafted liberal lies.

It is up to us to help these kids, born with this disability,

Man you swallowed the left's propaganda hook line and sinker. WHY accept lefty rabid lies?! PUT THE KOOL-AID DOWN.

THIS is what you are condemning them to by accepting the lies.

Statistics On The Homosexual Lifestyle PDF

In 2004, a group of researchers at the University of Chicago published a study of homosexual sexual relationships in that city.

42.9% of homosexual men in Shoreland had more than 60 sexual partners; 18.4% had between 31 and 60 partners

61.3% of the area’s homosexual males had more than 30 partners

87.8% had more than 15.

Bug chasing has become a growing problem in the spread of HIV infection. Bug chasers are homosexuals who contact HIV-infected homosexuals so they can become infected with HIV.

Gay men and bisexual men were more likely than heterosexual males to be diagnosed with at lest one of five mental health disorders. Lesbian-bisexual women were more likely than heterosexual women to report mental health-related problems in the year prior to being interviewed.

In a separate study published in The Journal of Men’s Studies, (March 22, 2003), researchers noted that a survey of gay domestic violence in 2000 revealed that of 52 respondents, 79% had experienced pushing, shoving, or grabbing; 77% had experienced restraining or the blocking of an exit by a partner; 64% had experienced punching, hitting, or striking with hands or fists; 54% had been slapped.

Dr. John R. Diggs is author of “The Health Risks Of Gay Sex.” In his detailed report, he observes:
The study concluded that if 3 percent of the population studied were gay or bisexual, the probability of a 20-year-old gay or bisexual man living to 65 years was only 32 percent, compared to 78 percent for men in general.

For example, suicide rates among a San Francisco cohort were 3.4 times higher than the general U.S. male population in 1987. Other potentially fatal ailments such as syphilis, anal cancer, and Hepatitis B and C also affect gay and bisexual men disproportionately
