Just remember once “they” get in, “they” start hiring “them” as soon as “they” are in a position
to do so. So, if you don’t want to eventually have
your job replaced by one of “them”, I wouldn’t do it.

I have not seen any of the hiring conditions that this article speaks of. I haven’t worked for any company that ( honestly, now) took into account anyone’s looks over another. Jokes have been made, comments passed, but it’s never come down to a hiring decision.

I dare say that this diversity website tends to think the worst, or shine the light on nothing and swear that something was just there - and it moved.

Women with long, curly hair, too, are not taken seriously when interviewed for jobs.

Rush’s claim that feminism was invented so unattractive woman could get jobs has some merit.

“On the other hand, attractive women are preferred in jobs traditionally considered “feminine,” such as lingerie or cosmetics salesperson, secretary, nurse, dietician or social worker.”

Apparently the author has never seen the investment banking industry.

One, that isn’t true. Studies show that attractive people in both sexes are treated better than less attractive peers. Soe attractive men generally benefit over less attractive men, and I would surmise, more so from women than men (as generally men care less about what other men look like and more if they are competent).

Two, men, women, life isn’t fair. We all get worse looking as we get older too. Things don’t work so well after awhile. Man up.

If there are two otherwise comparable female applicants, I can't imagine too many men thinking "well, let's take the ugly one". The reverse scenario is plausible.

For the most part, life is easier for attractive women. The only exception I can think of is real attractive woman. They have to go through (early) life deflecting attention. There's a young woman (young enough to be my daughter) across the office floor. I've never once established eye contact with her or gotten a smile. I wonder if she's developed a sixth sense about guys that could potentially be pests (I look the part) and puts out an air of unfriendliness just so she can get through the day unmolested by drooling pursuers.

I had a house FSBO and a really hot young female realtor tried to get the listing. I turned her down and went with a male realtor to avoid temptation.

When I was in college for my BSME, there were maybe 3 females in the whole ME program... one of them was absolutely stunning... you know... your typical tall, blonde, blue-eyed, young hottie.

Well, Senior year I had this 400 level elective ME class and this girl was one of the total 5 students in it.

Me, being the "nice guy" in the class was drafted by her as a tutor, but, in all honesty, what she really wanted was a sucker to do her God damned homework. I refused. I don't care how good the head was, I don't roll like that.

My God, she couldn't even draw a free body diagram to save herself.

Dumb. As. A. Box. Of. Rocks.

I certainly wouldn't hire her as an engineer. As a bachelor party stripper, sure.

I believe she took a job for the federal government after college... makes sense.
