Efforts to get the United States Supreme Court to demand that Barack Obama provide unassailable proof of American citizenship continue without results.

Just for a moment, imagine that the Court does its job and it turns out that Obama can’t come up with a legitimate birth certificate showing that he was indeed born on U.S. soil in what was then the territory of Hawaii, and the Court declares that he is therefore ineligible to serve as the nation’s chief executive.

Should that be the case nothing that he has done, no appointments that he has made nor executive orders he issued would be valid. And under the provisions of the Constitution, John McCain would be declared the legitimate President of the United States and Sarah Palin the Vice President starting with Inauguration Day, 2009.

All acts of Congress since January 2009 and signed by Obama would be null and void. No Obamacare, no federal tax laws, and none of his cabinet or sub-cabinet appointments would be valid.

And there would be blood in the streets as the labor union and the rest of the thuggery that supports him would erupt in violence. And God knows where we’d end up.

The prospect of the nation enduring another two and a half years of this incredibly unqualified man is unpleasant, but perhaps the consequences of driving him from the office he now holds could prove disastrous.

The nation has endured many a great and tragic crisis , including a bloody Civil War that often set brother against brother, and a depression that nearly leveled the economy for all time. We survived in all such cases.

We can survive the final years of Barack Obama’s presidency..(continued)

Which is why we should concentrate on petitioning our state legislatures to pass laws requiring proof of eligibility before having candidates' names certified for the ballot.

BINGO!! This needs to be accomplished in the next year, to be ready for the start of campaign season in 2011. Throw every roadblock imaginable in his path to prevent him from even running.

Just because it would be difficult is no excuse for not doing the right thing. If hussein obama is an illegitimate President, and I believe there is a better than average chance that is the case, then he should be thrown out of office, his acts un-done, and he should be imprisoned for life without hope of parole.

Trying to avoid an unpleasant situation (eg. removing a sitting President) just to avoid the uproar by not doing the right thing is morally bankrupt and smacks of what passes for modern-day "liberalism."

PS - hussein is already proving to be disastrous for America, removing him from office could not possibly be worse.

Candidates for the presidency must file papers with the Federal Election Commission. That agency regulates presidential campaigns. That agency should have responsibility for verifying the eligibility of any and all candidates. That agency should be mandated to publish the verification of every candidate filing to run for the presidency.

Where do you get this stuff? The political reality is that the Presidential Nominee picks the VP Nominee. At this juncture, I think the removal of Obama would create a huge societal upheaval that would result in rioting and many deaths. I think we need to focus on voting him out of office regardless of the substantial eligibility issue and the importance of the rule of law.

I think most of us would agree with this notion, however, there are three caveats which could undoubtedly change this:

1) Barry declares martial law (for any reason!)
2) Barry grants Amnesty to illegals by Executive Order
3) Barry even thinks of shutting down the internet

He had better be prepared to utterly crush us if he decides in any way, shape, or form to try any one of these dictatorial tactics.
