No. It’s when you no longer earn on the basis of your efforts and all pretense of meritocracy is gone. The only way to ‘better’ yourself is via political appointment. That’s communism. Communism is the opiate of the envious.

Today is Obama’s birthday. I know this because I’ve received three emails from barackobama.com asking me to sign his birthday card and two emails asking me to attend one of over 500 birthday parties being held around the country today. Vladimir Lenin’s birthday eventually became “Earth Day.” Let me be the first to predict that someday we will be asked to celebrate August 4th for some reason or another.

Answer: No. He is not a communist, in the sense that today no one is a communist, as communism died years ago. He is quite simply a little twit that is in over his head surrounded by a bunch of ideologues and "pols."
I fully admit that it is often difficult to distinguish between intentional and negligently caused harm. Given what he is I opt for stupidity .
