Opining today that the Gulf oil disaster is the perfect crisis with which to force cleaner, renewable, and un-Godly expensive and cost-ineffective sources of energy down our throats, Paul McCartney could have stopped there. But he didn't:

Did you notice in the Sun headline
"I like Obama... and hes right to have a go at us for polluting his land"? I thought boy king was a public servant. How could America be "HIS LAND".

I just saw an interesting Beatle documentary regarding the Beatles 1966-1970. Seems Yoko was not the main reason for the Beatls breakup, rather John simply lost interest and slowly let Paul do most of the song writing. Don't know exactly what this means. Perhaps John saw Paul as a bit of a twit, even back then.

Glad to report that not a dime of my money EVER went to support the Beatles. I remember when they first invaded waaay back then.

I burned my Paul McCartney RAM 8 track a long time ago. Okay the fire was going and it unraveled in the tape deck. Does that count? Also, if you have the original Beatles Second Album and the sleeve has assorted Capitol Artists on it. It is worth $10,000.

I consider it more John’s than Paul’s. Better to give credit to the dead Marxist than the living one.
To: pnh102
At the same time Paul is remarkably senile ~ though able to walk he doesn’t seem to remember any of the past.

A copy of the Beatles’ single “My Bonnie” sells for about that.

When I was a kid in the 60's my parents took me to a Beatles bonfire after John's "The Beatles are bigger than Jesus" remark". I had to toss my meager collection of singles and a comic book history of the group. Actually, the bonfire was fun, as are most bonfires.
Later, in college, I acquired all the Beatles' music on imported albums, and then CDs. I'm not burning anything. Paul is a has-been twit now. But the Beatles made great music. I'm not gonna let the fact that Paul is a douche-bag spoil my enjoyment of great music.
I'm also a Sinatra fan, but I doubt I'd have wanted him to come over for dinner, either. Just think of these entertainers as people who exist only to amuse and entertain us and pay no mind to their idiotic statements.

I live near SF. Many of my friends are from the far-left. We always agree to disagree when it comes to politics. No one has ever accused me of denying the Holocaust, probably because I am a solid supporter of Israel. I will always play Beatles albums. Remember when John pissed off the left with the lyrics âSay you want a revolution, we all want to see your plan.â
