Gov Palin and Ron Paul as well as Rand Paul debate important issues to the TEA PARTY in this video
audio worked fine for me.
ROFL....you need better talking points that's old news her actions as the anti-obama and the leadership she has shown shows how stupid your talking point is.
no, she has been very active, and I am glad for that. Still, I am disappointed that she quit, and I can’t quite rationalize it. That’s not to say that I don’t support her, just that it’s a very big negative for me.
I like to ask, whats the Libertarian view of government role during time of flood, earthquakes. Somehow I just can’t get around the fact that government should do nothing in these situations, just like the gulf oil spill.
Government should build banks to stop floods or oil from hitting shore, they should provide some minimum shelter and food for ppl. Of course we should not make ppl whole from disasters, but we should at least provide some minimum assistance TEMPORARILY
Here's a wonderful quote from Reagan in 1975 from Reason magazine.
If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberalsif we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.
Now, I cant say that I will agree with all the things that the present group who call themselves Libertarians in the sense of a party say, because I think that like in any political movement there are shades, and there are libertarians who are almost over at the point of wanting no government at all or anarchy. I believe there are legitimate government functions. There is a legitimate need in an orderly society for some government to maintain freedom or we will have tyranny by individuals. The strongest man on the block will run the neighborhood. We have government to insure that we dont each one of us have to carry a club to defend ourselves. But again, I stand on my statement that I think that libertarianism and conservatism are travelling the same path.

i think the Judge wanted to boost Ron Paul in this debate with Palin. He probably think it be a cake walk to see Ron Paul beat Palin because Palin is such a “goofball”
I'm in the latter group and so is gov Palin and Ronald Reagan.
But why though?
Since she quit, she has done more to advance the conservative agenda and stop Obama than any other Republican or conservative outside of Rush.
Please also understand why she quit. She wanted nothing more than to finish out her term after the election, but the haters wouldn't let her. Rahm Emmanuel and the DNC specifically targeted her and drove her to near bankruptcy and costed the state millions of dollars. Since when is resigning from a job a bad thing anyway?
I doubt any rational person would.
They said the same thing about GW Bush and Ronald Reagan. Is it Palin, Bush and Reagan's fault the so-called "intellectuals" can't understand what they are saying? Perhaps it's the "intellectuals" who are the lightweights.
“Palin has come out of the libertarian closet.”
How can that be? She LOVES Israel.
When she's giving private speeches, yes.
She doesn't do it in public or on the campaign trail.
What was it before there was a FEMA or Governors waiting around for the Feds?
During the 1906 SanFran earthquake, the Mayor immediately took charge and said looters would be shot. San Francisco
Wow yourself. It looks pretty desperate to scream "leftist" in response to a stated fact.
She hitchd her wagon to McCain and as disappointed as I was, I gave her some slack because it seemed as if it were paying off a debt of some sort.
But if she's going to closely associate with Code Pink looney-tune DeceptiCon Ron Paul, I just don't think I can keep looking the other way.
My jury's still out on Rand, but it's looking a little murky.
there are things a society needs a government for so that it does not sink into anarchy.
the problem with Liberals is they think that government should have no boundaries and the problems with Libertarians is they think the government should have no power. the answer is of course what the founders figured out.
"Up to the maximum of individual freedom consistent with law and order." That was RWR's view and those were his words. It's great to have another strong advocate for that view today.
