Negative Impact of ObamaCare Already Kicking In
Conservative Examiner ^ | 3/24/2010 | Anthony G. Martin

48 hours had not even passed after Congress approved ObamaCare before the negative impact of its provisions began kicking in.

Remember, the so-called 'benefits' of the program will not begin until 2014. But the fees, taxes, and other surcharges that are essential to the plan go into effect immediately.

This has led to some disturbing consequences just within the last 24 hours.

Karl Denninger via WRSA reported this:

An ad campaign highlighting AARP’s involvement in killing off their members would be a good start.

True...but will things be radically different, now?

I can easily imagine hospital security goons throwing people out of the buildings, now.

“The bishops” are not Catholics. They are Progressives. (And by Progressive I mean Communist, Red, Maoist, Stalinist, etc.) When Bernardin was President of the USCCB, what was the big issue: Surrender to the Soviet Union.

Now that the Communists are in Washington, “the bishops” are still on the same side.

The Pope wants to abolish the national conferences of bishops. I with him.

This isn't the kind of "hope and change" that people were looking for.... no way.

Remember, the President, Vice President, cabinet secretaries, members of Congress as well as their staffs are exempt from this wonderful program.

Now you really begin to see why no pubbie on Capitol Hill could bring themselves to vote for it.

What were the conferences intended for when they came into being? Who brought them into being? Why are they spreading vice more readily than virtue?

I cut up the ‘pre-approved’ cards they send me, put them in the return envelope, along with a nasti-gram on why I’ll NEVER join their sham organization. It may not do much but I feel better doing it. Starve the beast.

I *was* mildly surprised that no token RINOs climbed on board.

Too bad they didn’t fight it harder rather than just not voting for it.

I can only speak for the hospitals and Doctors that I know. I do not expect much immediately, and as long as you are not physically threatening them, I do not expect them to call security either.

My primary care is at a FQHC. They offer quality care at a reasonable cost, and work with people who are uninsured or under-insured to provide a discount and payment plan. They can do this because they qualify for the Federal Tort Claims Act, which lowers the liability insurance.

People who work there have to be courteous, and focused on providing great care, or their contracts are not renewed. They accept medicaid and medicare as well as most insurance.

The hospital I use is a non-profit organization and has some of the best Doctors in the St. Louis area. While some of the Drs and nurse's aides could use an attitude adjustment, 90% of the staff are really helpful and concerned about their patients.

This anecdote has to be confirmed first. I work for a primary care clinic. We see a lot of Medicare patients. I have not heard of any limits on how often and when we can see these patients.

So, if I had a gall bladder removed, after it was taken out (usually a out patient procedure) I could not see the doctor to see if it was healing properly until a month later.

That is going to kill a heck of a lot of folks with diabetes.

They were invented at the Second Vatican Council.

In America, Cardinal Gibbons, a Wilson toady, started the National Catholic Warfare Council. The purpose was to PROMOTE entrance into WWI and to support the Wilson’s draft—which the Pope had DENOUNCED. (The Pope had denounced ALL universal conscription.)

After the war, it became the National Catholic Welfare Conference. After Vatican II, it became the National Conference of Catholic Bishops and the United States Catholic Conference.

From the very beginning, it has been nothing but a tool of Democrats in the clergy.

Interesting — so is it like, they call in various leftist speakers to “enlighten” the bishops? If so, good grief, no wonder so many RC congregations in the USA are having problems.

One elderly woman was sent home from the emergency room after the bare minimum of treatment with a fever of 103 degrees. When she was forced to return to the emergency room within 24 hours, due to the fact that she was not adequately treated the first time, the doctor informed her they could not give her care because it was 'too soon after her initial treatment.'

I find this difficult to believe. I don't think the doctors know what provisions are in this bill yet.

It gets its name from the fact that the bishops have a conference twice a year. But the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) is a huge bureaucracy in Washington that lobbies the Democrats to pass Democrat legislation.

The Pope has said, officially, that the bishops should have conferences—i.e., meetings—without the “conference”—i.e., the permanent bureaucracy.

Wow.

We have nothing like that here, that I’m aware of, any way.

We used the brand new Western MD Health complex they just opened up in Cumberland MD this past Novemeber.

So far, so good.

Our family doctor would *never* turn us away unless maybe somebody had a gun to his kid’s head.
