Negative Impact of ObamaCare Already Kicking In
Conservative Examiner ^ | 3/24/2010 | Anthony G. Martin

48 hours had not even passed after Congress approved ObamaCare before the negative impact of its provisions began kicking in.

Remember, the so-called 'benefits' of the program will not begin until 2014. But the fees, taxes, and other surcharges that are essential to the plan go into effect immediately.

This has led to some disturbing consequences just within the last 24 hours.

Karl Denninger via WRSA reported this:

I remember discussing that with you before this abomination passed. It did seem odd to me that with such an emphasis on the anti-abortion issue, no visible consideration was given by the bishops’ statement to the domino effects on life and care as a whole. And as other Roman Catholics have pointed out to me here, even the church’s catechism frowns upon socialist systems. Something looks like it is about to become untethered from its moral moorings, and the result if so would be bishops that don’t even care about the anti-abortion issue.

My husband was FORCED into taking Medicare in spite of the fact that we already pay for a -great- BC/BS plan.

Now -Medicare- covers his health care *first* with BC/BS picking up the “leftover” costs.

January 29th, he had triple bypass surgery.

Does this mean, had he had any complications from that surgery within 30 days, he would have been told “tough sh*t”?

What if he has problems later that don’t get resolved on the first visit and needs further care a week later?

Still tough sh*t?

Pelosi acted like the overarching goal was to enact it then tweak it. The trouble here is the tweaking process is going to hurt and KILL people. You’d think they’d allow a few months for analysis and revision before ANYTHING happens, but no. I don’t know if the MSM is beyond shame now, though. And who the dickens seized control at Fox? Shame on him/her/them too.

Only alternative would be pay retail out of pocket (though if he could pony it up, hospital would probably discount for cash on the spot).

Oh wait a minute, Medicare accepters are not allowed to do that. He’d have to go to a non-Medicare hospital too.

So. 200+ years after fighting off Britain, we have become Britain.

While lobbying a Congressman’s chief of staff during the rally last weekend (sorry, saw so many congresscritters I don’t recall who this one was!), I expressed my extreme concerns, especially about the public option. His response: “The bill has flaws, but don’t worry, we’ll fix them all later.”

Um......

Oh, yeah, sure.

We’re rich enough to just pull tens of thousands of dollars out of our asses.

[and what the hell is a “non Medicare hospital”? even if we found one, his cardio-thoracic surgeon or cardio-doc aren’t working *there*]...:(

Himself has been telling me NOT to worry no matter what happened because we’d still have our good BC/BS insurance.

Sure, *I* do but he’s enslaved by his forced Medicare.
If drops that, he can’t get his BC/BS coverage renewed.

That’s what he was told when they forced it on him, years ago.

Since the November coup, I have steadily been getting worse and my ‘stomach ache’ has gone to full blown ulcer and even Protonix is only helping a few hours per dose.

*This* is my “new improved health care”?

I’m pretty sure I’m the verge of a total physical/nervous collapse from worrying over my husband’s future and I curse every fool who voted for this tyrannical, genocidal bastard.

I can’t believe this is happening.

“Bill text for this “30 day” atrocity?”

Yes, I’d like to see it, too, please.

[preferably before I have a total nervous breakdown, if possible]

After gallbladder removal surgery, I went home deemed well.
3 days later I was back with internal bleeding that lasted 2 weeks. I’d like to know that wouldn’t be a _legal_ problem.

I’m so sorry for your suffering and I hope you are okay, now.

I seriously doubt that the Big Gov is worried about lawsuits from citizens.

They know few of us could ever pay for the lawyers necessary to win.

I expect big advertisements to appear shortly in MSM media (shoot, they’ll run anything that pays) for attorneys wanting class action clients.

Yes that is what it means. Under 2009 Medicare rules, you had to wait 3 days. I ran into this a few times with my Dad. When the ER people started giving me a song and dance. I just got in their face and clenched my teeth, and told them I did not give a s$#t about their freakin rule.

Dad was sick, they admitted he needed treatment, and they jolly well better see he got it, or I would be suing them for malpractice. I told them that Medicare rules were about payment and were irrelevant to treatment.

He did get admitted.

” Ban Medicare recipients from receiving follow-up care within 30 days of their initial treatment as part of government-run healthcare.” This kicks in immediately

WHAT...??? You gotta be sh**in' me!

This has Zeke Emanuel's fingerprints all over it...

Hopefully, they’ll sue them blind.

[although usually, the “survivors” are the only ones left to see the settlements]
