February 24, suddenly Chinese official media CCTV for the first time published shock screens of shooting down U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft in June 1958, to warn B-2 of the United Stites.
In these short-range high-definition screens, the moment of Sam missile into the sky shot down U-2 high-definition instant pictures are very stunning!

Is this the Powers or the Baltic incident or something not reported before?

I believe Gary Powers was the only downed U2 pilot who lived to talk about it.

You’ve got to be sh****ng me! And just what high-flying fighter plane did the Chicoms have at the time to take these close-up pictures in 1958?
That said, I recall coming across a comprehensive book on the U-2 story and the most deadly moments in the plane’s operational history were when Nationalist Chinese pilots were flying it over Mao’s China.

I was thinking it may be different if the Chinese released it.

Pretty cool how they managed to get a plane up to the U-2’s altitude in order to take photos of a surface-to-air missile shooting one down. Why didn’t the plane just shoot the U-2 down? THERE WILL BE NO MORE QUESTIONS!

Neat technology too how the missle could miss the fighter by 50-feet and maintain it’s lock on the U-2.
