Anyone else notice the implied resemblance? Definitely. This comic is beyond despicable. Aren't any comics out there on "our side" anymore?

Yeah, "all Tea Party activists are white racists".
What about these good Tea Party Patriots I saw in DC on 9/12/09??

That’s either photoshopped, or you can’t see the gun one of those white racists have shoved in their backs. Same for that Marcus dude, too. :-)

With a little tinkering; this same storyline could have been used to demonize the Jews back in 40’s Germany. Back then; Cap was busy FIGHTING the Nazis. Times certainly have changed...

Marvel Comics is now pro-liberal. Where have you been? They've been that way throughout my entire lifetime.

I wonder what the Captain thinks about Obama's "spiritual adviser"/mentor of 20+ years, the "good" reverend Wright and his racist, revolutionary communist Black Liberation Theology...
"Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal".
--James (Jim) Cone,
African American Religious Thought: An Anthology (Paperback)
by Cornel West (Editor), Eddie S. Glaude Jr. (Editor)
_____________________________________________________
SEAN HANNITY: But Reverend Jeremiah Wright is not backing down and has not for years and in his strong stance on the teaching of black liberation theology is nothing new. He had the same things to say last spring when he appeared on "Hannity & Colmes:"
WRIGHT: If you're not going to talk about theology in context, if you're not going to talk about liberation theology that came out of the '60s, systematized black liberation theology that started with Jim Cone in 1968 and the writings of Cone and the writings of Dwight Hopkins and the writings of womynist theologians and Asian theologians and Hispanic theologians, then you can't talk about the black value system.
HANNITY: But I'm a reverend
WRIGHT: Do you know liberation theology, sir?

What progressives lose in the arena ideas, they make up for in the arena of slander.

I had no idea these comics had gone so far left.
Back in the 90s, a comic would be on the cancellation block for sales below 100,000 copies. Today, if one hits 100,000 copies it ranks at the top of the direct market sales chart! Could it be the dark, depressing, overly sexualized and often twisted 'world' they have devolved to, especially at Marvel?
When I grew up reading comics in the 70s, there was such a sense of wonder mixed in with adult themes. Take Spider-Man for example: his life sucked, he couldn't pay his bills and people were always trying to kill him. Yet his attitude was always a very American one: he got knocked down, got up, carried on and helped others along the way, cracking a joke now and then. Most of Marvel was like that. There weren't always happy endings, but the overall tone was one of moving forward with hope, not wallowing in misery and political correctness.
Thank God for back issues.
