This is a strange one. John McCain goes on Jay Leno's program last night, and, without any real prompting, takes a shot at his former running mate. Watch:
Really, what gives? Would it have hurt McCain to have included Sarah Palin's name in the list of non-Rush-Limbaugh-GOP talent? The category was Republican governors, too. So there can be no mistaking who he chose to omit. "I've left out someone's name, and I'm going to hear about it..." Gee, ya think?
The whole "I don't want the president to fail" thing would have been the headline were it not for the incredibly odd diss on the woman he once touted as knowing "more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States of America." I guess the Arizona Senator has changed his mind.
Good..he’s just given her an excuse to back out of campaigning for him before the primary. Screw him.
Why doesn’t he just do us all a big favor and “go over to the other side”!!
So I don't believe this at all.
Maybe he's just gotten soft with age.
Either way, he's next to useless to the nation now.
Sarah should have stayed out of this race. The best thing she could have done(Damn I wish I was advising her because whoever is advising her now are idiots) is issue a statement and say this..
“As you all know, John McCain is up for re-election in Arizona for Senator, he will be going against JD Hayworth(Lets pretend he’s running). Many have been waiting for me to issue a statement saying who I will endorse but after a lot of consideration, I have chosen to endorse neither candidate because I have great respect for both of them and I am torn between both candidates. I have explained the situation to Mr. McCain and he understands fully. It is up to the great people of Arizona to decide who they want to be their Senator and represent them. Do research on both candidates and see which one represents you and your ideals. The best of luck to both candidates. May the best man win” See, was THAT so hard. That way, both sides are happy, and everyone would understand why she did that. That is why I should be her advisor
What a jerk.
Why is Palin campaigning for this guy again?
Personally, I think he has been of late showing signs of senility. It happens to many when they get older.
I saw it. He named all RINO’s. I do not think that is a joke. If it is, it is STILL politically damaging so, he’s either a democratic mascot or stupid.
In either case, Sarah’s recent endorsement, continues to prove she isn’t smart enough to know who her friends and enemies are.
i think sarah is in a bad spot- she would get hammered in the media if she didnt campaine for him— she really stuck up for him in her RNC speech.
Personally, I think it's a mistake for Palin to campaign to McCain in AZ, but she's being gracious for having been catapulted to the national stage. She's allowed to show her gratitude, I suppose, but if she ever gives him this kind of support in the future then I've got to wonder about her....
How dumb is that?
He is not showing the character America likes.
he’s a jerk...
He has provided Governor Palin a chance to prove her doubters wrong , only an idiot would still campaign for McCain .
He did not pluck her out of subarctic obscurity as a favor to her. He did it only because he thought it would benefit himself. She owes him nothing. Her rise is a result of who she is. The is nothing gracious or classy about supporting the evil that is McCain. There is nothing gracious or classy about contributing to the destruction of our republic, our future, our way of life.
Keep your fire on McCain. Let Sarah be. No need to put the focus on her.
Exactly - she’s damned if she does, damned if she don’t. I suspect she’s holding her nose to get this obligation over with.

Well said. She got where she is by her own work. McCain owes her, not the other way around.
Considering the pathetic campaign he ran, which helped us get stuck with an incompetent ideologue for the next 3 years, I’m surprised McCain even shows his face in public.
