Acceptance video of Ford winning both car and truck of the year awards at the North American International Auto Show Monday for its 2010 Fusion Hybrid and Transit Connect models. Personally, I can't believe they beat out Toyota's hybrid. Yet being an American myself, I'm proud if them for doing so! Kudos Ford!
Just in time for the coming ice age.
Unfortunately hybrids don’t do well at all is sub-zero temps.
This must be quite a blow to Obama and his Government Motors "GM" corp.
A company working in the free market beat them at their own game despite the massive infusion of Obama's government cash, Obama's liberal brain trust and Obama's political overseers at Obama's Government Motors.
My compact doesn’t do well in the sub zero temps either, went from averaging 28mpg to 18! Cold weather is hard on cars period.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
You nailed it! The free market inspires creativity and competition! Nobody can compete with that!
This may go without saying but if you’re fortunate enough to park in an enclosed garage it really helps reduce engine warm up time and gas costs of any vehicle.
Back in 2006, Ford had an advertising campaign for the Fusion, claiming that “it sticks to the road like a positively charged electron.”
How does a positively charged electron stick to the road? (or does one simply get a couple of 511 keV gamma rays?)
I hope it helps the Stock price.
Nope. The NA Focus will be built in Wayne, MI at the plant that was retrofitted from building the Expedition/Navigator.
Doh, my bad. I apologize, I still had a focus video on my mind. You are correct, the Fusion is built in Hermosillo, MX.
I still have more respect for Ford than the other two, but I won’t support the UAW.
