Ummmm, no one said anything about “converts”. The only thing stated was spreading the word of God.
Mt 10:32 “Everyone, then, that confesses union with me before men, I will also confess union with him before my Father who is in the heavens.”....Just like Jesus went door to door (well, town to town)witnessing, they believe they are following in His footsteps.
So the JWs don't get their own converts from spreading their interpretation of the Word? (Try again)

Look...that applies to acknowledging the true Jesus -- not imposters. Example...do you think Mt. 10:32 applies to those Jesus mentioned in Matt 24:23-24? ...if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear...
Bottom line: The JWs' Jesus Christ is an angel-man-semi-god [JWs confess Jesus is a "god" (small "g") but is not Jehovah God.]But then when you ask them if they believe in two gods, they vehemently deny that. Jesus to them is some angel-man-semi-god -- and THAT is NOT the Jesus of the bible.
And the New Testament says there's more than one "Jesus": But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached... (2 Cor. 11:3-4)

Well, the Pharisees & teachers of the law likewise believed they were following in Jehovah's footsteps: 33They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word. 38I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence, and you do what you have heard from your father." 39"Abraham is our father," they answered. Jehovah's Witnesses read in the foreword of NWT (1984 edition) these comforting words:
"It is a very responsible thing to translate the Holy Scriptures from their original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek into modern speech....The translators of this work, who fear and love the Divine Author of the Holy Scriptures, feel toward Him a special responsibility to transmit his thoughts and declarations as accurately as possible."
So where do the NWT 'translators' get permission to ADD words to Scripture?
