The amount of political capital spent on this disaster is beyond comprehension. No other president...OR congress (the leaders) in the past would have spent all their political capital on one piece of legislation. Obama DRAINED every last ounce of political capital he had left in order to pass this thing.

That being said: It ought to scare the pants off of everyone when they stop and think-"What is this really going to do to us if someone is willing to commit political suicide over a piece of legislation? What is this really all about?"

'Cause you know they didn't do it out of some sense of Charity. What is really in this legislation that they are willing to "die" for it?

So what happened to the reading of the bill? "Today's vote was only a cloture vote to shut off debate." Debate is the time to read aloud that which is being debated!
