Candor7 and some others here are really doing the initial, difficult spade work, and a number of others are coming along later and re-casting the ideas and work from as their own, giving no credit. I thank you, and Candor7 and other good colleagues here on FR for being on top of this since Friday our time in Japan. At the very least, it is going viral, which was our larger intent. The more Obama is exposed and embarrassed, the better.

D.O, you are correct in all your observations just now.
Obama got this terribly wrong in both a cultural and diplomatic protocol sense here in Tokyo yesterday. The Japanese also sense his insincerity, which can be read from 1000 meters. The embarrassment and confusion of both Their Majesties is painfully apparant to anybody who has perceptivity on the matter. You dont even have to have been in Japan long to catch this non verbal.
It is one of the most embarrassing incidents of a senior American (either in government or private business) in Japan I have seen since Bush 1 threw up in the Prime Minister's lap in 1989...and even that more or less could not be helped--how can you control vomit during the 48 hour flu?!
Senator Obama is such an idiot for doing this, and I can hear ALL the B.S. Gibbs/Jarrett/Axelrod Washington, D.C. type spin to get out of this. Not so fast, White House!

Could someone explain to me what the big deal is about Obama bowing to the leader of a different country? Why are my fellow FReepers upset about it?
We are Americans. We threw off the trappings of monarchies over two hundred years ago. All Americans stand free as citizens, and bow to no one.
Nancy Reagan’s bow and presentation to the Queen of England many years ago was an embarrassemnt. The Tool of the Current Regime has made two bows to heads of state. HE is a shame to all Americans.
