Ft. Hood Mass Murderer Was Trying to Contact al Qaeda--AND WE KNEW !!
ABC News/The Lid ^ | 11/9/09 | The Lid

If last week's Ft. Hood mass murder teaches us anything, it should teach us that Political Correctness will kill this country. Every day we find out another example of Major Hasan telegraphed his Islamist intentions and the higher ups in the military did nothing for fear of offending the Muslim community.

HOGWASH !! Hasan, wrote pro-Jihad comments on internet boards, he learned Jihad from the Imam who was the spiritual adviser of some of the 9/11 terrorists, and while at Walter Reed, he told his medical colleagues that Infidels should have their heads cut off and hot oil poured down their throats. I don't care what religion someone is, that person needed to be investigated.

Today there is a new revelation. ABC News is reporting that Army Major Nidal Hasan was trying to contact al-Qaeda over the internet and the CIA knew about it. They didn't think it was a problem?:

He was a sleeper. We have infiltration at the highest level folks. Our troops in Afghanistan are dying because of intel being leaked to kill them.

CCW’s on all bases now. Contact the NRA. Rick Perry should step in - in Texas and allow CCW on all bases. Screw the Feds and the military chain of command.

Military bases are federal land, Perry has no jurisdiction.

This is the type of guy al Qaeda would be seek to recruit. Military soldier, Muslim, anti-American, supports the enemy. He is the perfect recruit, and for us who have our heads in the sand, the perfect storm.

Unfortunately Perry would have no control over what happens or is allowed on a military base, all that comes down from the DOD.

Yep. Not only should this guy have been kicked out of the Army, he clearly should have been put on all the high-level watch lists and watched extremely carefully 24/7.

Sadly, what this incident proves to me is that the government is now officially back to its pre 9/11 mentality.

Incorrect. WE did not know; THEY knew. THEY must be held accountable.

Somehow, this does not surprise me. The FBI is snoozing while ACORN activists steal our elections and the CIA knows an Army Major is in contact with Al Q., but doesn't mention it to the Army...

Dr. Hassan was an extremist. Terrorism is a method of operation. Dr. Hassan planned this act, purchased some very lethal weapons, gave away his belongings three weeks before he would have even received his orders, so what? He was planning to sleep on a park bench for three weeks and eat out of a dumpster?

Our military had to let him slip through, as anyone who would have opened their mouth BERFORE Dr. Hassan went “postal” would have been drummed out of the corps. Let's all be honest here. Dr. Hassan went “around the bend” in his pursuit of righteousness. He followed his own muse right off the cliff. Whether he “snapped” was a “psychotic” or whether he “found Osama”, he brought terror to the innocent and he took an innocent life in the womb — not to mention all the others he took or altered.

You don't have to be pen pals with Osama to be a terrorist — you just have to be evil. Dr. Hassan is evil. It was a conscious act, well planned, well provisioned and well performed. Does he get the "Employee of the Month Award" from Al Qaida or the Taliban? Like all the awards those organizations promise -- they are a dead end. Does he achieve the same result and wind up in the same place? It depends on whether you're an "extremist" or not.

You are mistaken.

Military bases are federally owned property, but they are state land. The discernment between state and federal land must go back to the original deeds and declaration of the property. In the case of Ft Hood, the land was part of the state of Texas prior to becoming a state of the United States of America. The land still falls under the jurisdiction of the State.

The base might have MOA/MOUs with local law enforcement wherein the county Sheriff or the city police allow the Commanding General of the post to handle law enforcement within the base limits by use of UCMJ and to maintain good order, but technically, if a felony occurs, the local police/Sheriff have the jurisdiction to take control of the crime scene.

I suspect the same situation exists regarding the San Antonio hospital where the criminal is now located by reports.

If memory serves me correctly, the only federal land in the USMC is the brig at Quantico, which is part of the reason Hinckly was imprisoned there. There are more Army bases with federal land, but one has to go back to how the land was originally broght into federal control. If previously a State, then it technically is State land, even though owned at present by the Federal government.

The sleazy, little sex pervert had been ogling strippers, was probably addicted to porn, and the thought of 72 black-eyed whores overwhelmed him. The guy was a psychiatrist, with all the mental instabilities that suggests, a wacko turning to the field of neurosis and insanity to cure himself, and failing. There’s nothing like a psychopathic, sexually frustrated god, one that has been stripped of his feminine counterpart by a deranged, pagan prophet to enlighten a masturbating psychotic who is ignorant enough to believe in Islam. ...BOOM! It’s not like everyone who knew him didn’t see it coming. This shouldn’t have happened.

Nope. See the above post. State of Texas still has jurisdiction. They might waive pursuing the matter and turn it over to the UCMJ, but even if they did, multiple infractions have occurred.

Besides, we now have a civilian law enforcement officer, off duty, taking the life of a human on the military base, allbeit in self defense, and/or responding to a call regarding a terrorist act.

If I were her, I would prefer the matter be resolved in a Texas Court so that she is better defended in any civil actions.

Considering the Executive Branch is more worried about not labeling this terrorism, I doubt their sincerity in pursuing law enforcement or bringing the Muslim terrorist to justice.

Context man, keep it in context. Perry has no jurisdiction over occupied federal bases. Perry could not for example (context) tell the base command that soldiers are now allowed to carry concealed weapons on base. The Army has complete jurisdiction over that base and the soldiers in it. If the civilian government wants a soldier on base, and the Army isn’t ready to give that soldier up, it goes to federal court, which is obviously biased against the locals in favor of the feds. Seen it happen many times in my hometown.
