Good post - I can relate. I’m all for keeping the pressure on - to make them accountable for what was said. Hammer the damn thing home until they are sick of hearing about it - and sorry they brought it up. Either put up or shut up!

They would never see this information from the regualar media & they need to be educated.

Have her check out Wikipedia’s “cult of personality”. It is a very quick read. After she is done ask her what she thinks about the article.

Tell them you’d rather be known as a “teabagger” than a three bagger like them.
What they are guilty of themselves, they project onto others. It helps them cope with something they feel is wrong, but that they cannot seem to help.
I have a very racist family member (from things she says and does) who doesn’t believe herself to be a racist because she has a black maid and she doesn’t mind paying taxes. She also thinks Republicans don’t want to pay taxes because they go to help the poor.
I will do that. She is just young and stupid, which we all were, and that will educate her and get her thinking. I’ll work on her and she will come around.
I have one niece who supports the one.... she learned all she knows about politics from liberal friends and Jon Steward.... sad.

They know they’re outclassed, so sinking to their level makes them feel like we’re equals in the arena.
Exactly. The school indoctrination works well because when you’re young thoughts are based on emotion. Unless they have someone to set them straight, they will be that way for life.
