What the Zot Party Express is doing is Zot-a-crisp and Zot-bigious!

This idea of freedom of speech is going to far with this Tea Party Express. White people in RV driving from city to city disrupting the townhouse meetings. Everyone wants and needs healthcare but the wealthy wants tax cuts, they can pay for healthcare for themselves and others. It won't stiphened their income. I think President Obama's Healthcare reform is great it allows people who can't afford healthcare to have it. That what the Hatians do. It's not socialism it's called taking care of your country so we can stand strong against the enemy. This capital government is a mess, Let me get mines and bump everyone else. WHERE IS YOUR HEART?

"I want to know what a Hatian is. Stiphen, I sorta understand, but Hatian excapes me."

I have two theories: A Hatian could be a person from a place where hats are worn very frequently, even indoors. I'd fit in well there.

Then again, with a different pronunciation, a Hatian could be a person from a place where a lot of Hating goes on.

We're probably pretty well balanced in that case. We have an island with Hatians on one side, and an island for Loveys on the other.

By the way, if some character called StiphenJuanBanker contacts you and wants to conduct financial transactions with you, don't trust him.

The Hatians, a disenchanted group banished to the Isles of Boronacoor. (Pronounced similar to Boar on a core)
Bereft of all enchantments, they live a miserable life filled with wheed juice induced drunken revelry and raids conducted against their neighbors, the Dyspepsians.
They avoid the Cthulhians for obvious reasons.
They may be haters, but they aren’t insane.

The mail bunny arrived today! *smooch*

It’s so pretty!
Questions...

What does the S stand for, and how do I keep it on?
Can I tie it on and shower with it?

Actually no, I just pry info out of those who wander into the underdark without proper announcements.
Usually only takes showing them the entry hall with teh lights on full.
Seeing everything that is there is enough to shatter minds.
Unless they get all “knowledge is power and I want more knowledge”, then it’s like a museum of the bizarre, and one can’t get them away from the entry hall.
Entry hall has four semi-permanent residents on a catalogue mission.
*sigh*

I should tie it...I do a lot of physical work. My watch face is scratched and cracked after only two years.

Anyway, it’s beautiful! I will wear it every day in support of your Grandson, and all our troops. :-D

Thank You!

Huh? Huh? Huh?

Yes, I am home, as of 1 AM or so this morning.

Did I bring anything? Only memories, pictures and a desire to return.

Memories of the delightful Alsatians. I can't understand why my German colleagues remarked on their being perpetually grumpy. The Alsatians weren't grumpy with me -- and most of the time I was mistaken for a German (once Italian!?!) at least until I spoke and they had to have heard an American voice. Often enough they were simply willing to continue in French until my ability was exhausted (didn't take but seconds!) and we had to go to l'Anglais. (I actually liked that; the Germans usually switch to Englisch immediately, whatever one reads into that.)

Memories of Alsatian wines: OMG, were they good! Beer: small sample was good, but I still give the nod to the Belgians.

Choucroute: the wine-pickled sauerkraut not as pleasing to my palate as the full-strength German stuff. The mix of various pork-products on top of choucroute an interesting take.

Old Strasbourg, under blues skies and sun -- almost difficult to take lousy pictures, it is SO pretty! (But I managed; deleted a few already.)

A cathedral the likes of which I have never seen, for its intricate and beautiful stone sculpture. And height: I climbed to the high deck up ancient open and narrow circular stairways; a difficult task for anyone with a dislike of heights. When you get there you are above everything in the region except the spire above you.

Museums, museums and more museums. All I need is time...

The morning I left I realized how how much my visit had been graced; it rained a little the preceding night/early morning and the cloudy Seattle-like overcast I saw would not have made for such pretty pictures.

Waiting in the airport to board the first flight towards home, I heard the first American voice since my arrival -- a group of three, two Americans and one Canadian. It's funny how I had identified them (the Americans, not the Canadian) even before they spoke.

If you like, over the weekend (tomorrow is Furlough Friday) I can take the best of the photos and post them online.

You know I love photos....
NEVER, EVER invite me to your house for more than an hour. Otherwise, I would have you dragging out photos from your diaper days!!!

I’m glad you’re back!

"You can buy a handbag (never worn by Michelle):"

While I'll agree that its not being worn by Michelle does increase its value, I don't think I'll be needing a handbag.

Thanks, 'Face! I'm not sure I have photos from back then. I'm sure I was a wee bit older than that when I first learnt to wield a camera. *\;-)

It's good to be back. They know Americans can be extremely direct, by their standards. I have long avoided "directness" for multiple reasons, but when he threw one loaded comment at me, he got my American-direct response square-on full-face. Trying to read the faces of the rest of my European colleagues, I think they were surprised and are recalculating; I've always been "Mr. Nice Guy," but now they know there are limits to that.
