Mainstream Media “Missing in Action” on Van Jones Story ( Who vetted the other 30 plus c

As if to put an exclamation point on the mainstream media’s not so subtle cozy relationship with the Obama administration, none of the so-called media even bothered to cover the brewing controversy surrounding the now departed Van Jones. Despite ample evidence of Van Jones spewing highly inflammatory language on numerous excerpts of his speeches, the media some how did not find this issue worthy of curious inquiry, let alone journalistic investigation. The real test for the mainstream media will be what, if any, follow-up they will conduct on this story as there are many questions that need to be asked of the administration including: How did Van Jones get through the administration’s vetting process, or did the administration know and look the other way? What about Special Adviser to the President, Valerie Jarretts’ full-throated endorsement of Van Jones just a few months ago in which she indicated the administration were looking at Van Jones’s work for a long time and were happy to recruit him? What about the vetting of the other 30 plus czars? What are these czars responsibilities, pay grades, policy making input? Will the administration cooperate with the Congress on possible hearings concerning the Constitutional legality of these czars? For the record, Fox News, led by Glenn Beck, was the only media outlet to give any credence to this story and undoubtedly played a significant part in forcing the Van Jones resignation.

They are catching up now. From what they’ve be told by their ObamaCom massas, Jones was some sort of “legendary” and “towering” figure in Algore’s environmental money scam.

Under what legal authority does Obozo presume to appoint and finance these cretin.

There is an active bill to address this.

The answer is simple. Obama and the rest of the administration think exactly like Van Jones does. Thus to them his views are not out of the mainstream and are middle of the road. This leftest agenda is what we are in for for the remaining of his term.

Los Angeles Times had a story today barely getting into the issue of the kind of people Obama appoints and how they were a big victim resigning to not be an issue for the President.

Boohoo.

I think this episode has been very interesting from the perspective of the MSM. They thought if they ignored this story, it would go away. I don’t think AP wrote about it until late last week. It blew up in their faces on blogs, forums like this one, on YouTube and on Fox. Power has shifted. The New York Times, and Wash Post and the network new organizations no longer determine what is and what is not news They still have a say, but not the determining vote, and certainly no longer the veto power they enjoyed in the old, pre-Internet past. It must drive them crazy that they are all now playing, to one degree or another, catch-up, and having to cover their own rears by claiming he was such a low-level White House employee as to be unnoticeable.

Hey, the President himself was never vetted, so why should anybody vet the so called "Czars."

The problem is that the founders foresaw radicals like Obama becoming President. That is why it is extremely important to hold the Executive accountable to Article II, Section 2, Advice and Consent.

If there are specific offices in the Executive that require a President make direct appointments that capability is spelled out in Art II Sec 2. Let Congress decide which Offices can be held by Czars. The power grab that Obama has made in the Executive is very scary indeed.

Who are these Czars radicals like Van Jones? They have not earned the Public trust and are being placed in charge of BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to carry out an agenda that the public may not approve of.

Republicans would do well to jump on this Constitutional Crisis and implement an immediate check and balance.

again past Presidents have had a small number of czars to head various depts, that is true, but the Congress should be the ones that decide which offices can be filled in this way and which ones can’t.

Who vetted the other 30 plus?

Obama and Jarrett vetted them. They fit with the agenda. In Van Jones' case, Obama and Jarrett have known him for ages.

The funny thing is, Obama & company don't see anything wrong with these people's backgrounds or why such a fuss should have broken out.

Obama has surrounded himself with people who think exactly as he does - and as a result, they were completely blindsided.

I would like to know how much money it is costing the American taxpayer to fund this ever expanding army of Czar’s? Does each one have an office? Staff? How much are they paid? Benefits? Pensions?

It’s my guess this is yet another scandal in the making, with millions of dollars funding Obama’s private cadre of fellow tavelers.

I’m going insane over these czars. What can we do, I do? Is there a crusade in progress to stop these czars, that anyone knows of?

No need in going “insane”...
for the time being just contact your congressman/woman and senators and voice your outrage, inform your friends & family of what is going on and keep them informed and prepare for 11/2010 & 11/2012...

There is a Discovery hearing in Santa Ana, CA this a.m. in an eligibility lawsuit filed against Hussein that just “might” be the beginning of the end for Hussein.
