Here is video of CNN finally doing a report on the "Van Jones Controversy." It mentions specifically his signing a 9/11 "Truther" Petition, but carefully point out that Jones did not "carefully review the language" in the petition before signing, and that Jones has said he never has agreed with the document.
It also is careful to say that President Obama "does not agree" with the signing of the "Truther" document.
The report mentions Jones' having said he was a "communist", and that Jones made derogatory remarks about Republicans calling them "a**holes."
But as you would expect, the CNN Report then tries to paint Glenn Beck as the bad guy in all this, pointing out that Beck has led the charge against Jones, saying "some" suggest Beck is doing so because Jones' former organization has been trying to get Beck sponsors to drop him. The report says that Jones "who was formerly known for his environmental record," is now the center of controversy over these past statements -- as if Jones' own past statements should not be an issue!
It took CNN all week to put out a report on Van Jones (I did not find others), and while it does mention some of the key problems with Jones (not all), they could not help themselves from implying the real problem here is Glenn Beck and conservatives for pointing out Jones' radical record.

If he couldn’t be bothered to carefully check the wording of the document..how can he be trusted to carefully check the wording on anything else. Didn’t law school teach him to read what he signs?
He’d have had to attend class for that.
Exactly! Of course he read it - and agreed with it, when he signed it. He’s using weasel words to try and get out of this mess.
Fortunately, Fox News viewership is much higher than CNN’s. Chicken Noodle News is so over.
CNN is the problem, not Beck.
They are busy busy reporting on MJ’s death and transfiguration. Spent the whole evening on it two nights ago.
Van Jones = Frank Davis = Bill Ayers = Bernardine Dohrn = Jeremiah Wright = Tony Rezko = Rashid Khalidi = Raila Ordinga = Carol Browner = Rahm Emanuel = John Holdren = Rosa Brooks = Eric Holder = Ezekiel Emanuel = BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA
This is who the man is. A cauldron of corruption, greed, marxism and communism...with disturbing ties to radical Islam.
...he is also now the President of the United States of America, and he is going about, with a will, and very methodically destroying the free market and fundamental republican principle within our nation.
A PETITION ON FACEBOOK FOR CONSTITUTIONAL RESTORATION
Poor CNN, trying to explain away Jones’s own words. So, if Jones “didn’t read carefully” here before signing this doc, how can we assume he will exercise caution in advising obama? It makes no sense, so all they can do is try to shift the focus to Beck. I really think that enough people are seeing through the deceptions now, so the standard procedure may not work.
Anyone who would have exposed a character like Jones in a Republican Administration, would be booked solid with the MSM for the next 3 weeks.
Katie, Merideth, Diane, and even Matt would have carpet burns on their knees, from all the fawning “attention” they would give.
CNN is so under the thumb of commies. They probably get threatened every day by thugs. I’m not making excuses for these people, I just think that they have to be under a threat similar to Taliban style tactics and they have no protection. They have chosen the wrong side and now they have no way out.

"Jones was arrested during the L.A. riots and spent a short time in jail. "I met all these young radical people of color," he recalls, 'I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, "This is what I need to be a part of." I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.'..."
CNN had Beck (via HLN) and blew it. I think it bugs 'em now.
well, the owner did marry Jane Fonda.
CNN Uses Pro-Communist American to Tout Cuban Health Care

Gail Reed
Theres something deeply wrong with journalism that scrutinizes and criticizes the institutions of free and successful nations, but produces puff pieces on the supposed achievements of totalitarian dictatorships. On Thursday, CNN aired a piece of Communist Party propaganda about how Cuba could serve as a model for health care reform in the United States, complete with an authoritative sound bite from an American medical expert, identified only as someone whos lived and worked in Cuba for decades.
But the expert, Gail Reed, is a longtime admirer of the Cuban revolution, married to the Cuban official who served as ambassador to Grenada in the early 1980s when U.S. troops liberated the island from hardline communists who had executed the leftist Prime Minister Maurice Bishop. She's also worked at Granma, Cubas official communist party newspaper.

As for Reed, she was profiled in the Miami Herald back in 1983 after she and her husband returned to Cuba after American forces liberated Grenada. She talked about the fear she felt at seeing U.S. Marines surrounding the Cuban embassy, and told the newspaper, I feel I have a very strong identification with the Cuban revolution.
When I first came to Cuba in the 70s, I was very impressed with their efforts in building a new kind of society, Reed explained.
This is such a happy situation for conservatives! If Yobaba fires Jones, it’s suddenly a big story on all the networks. If he doesn’t, it keeps festering! Jones is the gift that keeps on giving!
So I'm waiting patiently for the Jones resignation. Time will tell but don't be surprised if Obama pulls a Tammy Wynett on us and "Stands by His Man".
So, CNN got it’s marching orders from the White House and is doing its utmost to obey.
