Increasingly, it is becoming apparent that the US President, Barack Hussein Obama no longer has any apprehension in hiding the fact that he is not a friend of Israel.
Monday's meeting with "Top Jewish Organizational Leaders" hand-picked for passivity, (as pointed out in the Leibler article below) further supports the notion that Obama is unashamedly and openly anti-Israel. Obama wants no opposition to his opinion that Yosh is the biggest obstacle to peace and wants support for that position by the lefties who voted for him. The idea that "settlements" are the biggest obstacle to peace also is a surrender to the false notion that Israel was required to withdraw from all of Yosh in any of the previous "negotiations" or treaties.

Did the U.S. ask Israel to fight in Iraq and Afganistan? Just to refresh my memory.
Imagine Israeli troops in Iraq and Afghanistan for just a moment. Are you serious that any administration would actually WANT that? Talk about all hell breaking lose! As we don’t have enough trouble in those wars! Al Qaeda would have absolutely loved it.
I think getting Arabs to help out was difficult enough without asking Israel to come shoot some Arabs.
Yeah, we should wait until we are fighting someone FRIENDLY before we expect them to be real allies.

not since 1945 - unfortunately. since then - its all been about alliances. to presume Israeli soldiers would enter into open combat in either theatre is unrealistic due to ground rules of local alliances. those people on whose behalf we are fighting, don’t want Israelis there.
So, to translate your comments again, no, you have no idea why Israelis wouldn’t be on the ground in Iraq and Afganistan, but you think they should be. Even though the U.S. doesn’t want them there.
I have no idea why they are considered an important ally in light of that fact.
"Bystander" maybe, or "beneficiary"..
If they are so important in that region, why can they DO NOTHING there?
are any countries that do not have forces in theatre considered “important” allies or even allies in your mind?
Take a look at a map of the middle east and maybe investigate where the U.S. military goes and what they do in that region. And ask yourself, if ‘boots on the ground’ is so crucial to an alliance, where was the U.S. military during any of Israel’s battles?

But it's really important for credibility purposes that if you're going to have a problem with one of our allies for not sending soldiers to Afghanistan, then you give the names of our other "allies" who also do not have soldiers in Afghanistan and why or why not you feel we should dump them as allies.
I for one am really curious as to how exactly you reached the conclusion that the nation of Israel should be singled out for contempt and scorn as an ally of ours for the single reason that they have not sent soldiers to Afghanistan yet other "allies" around the world who also are not participating get a pass.
