When She resigned today, Sarah Palin (videos above and below) made either the most impressive political move ever, or ruined her political career. She talked about how the frivolous ethic lawsuits, and how she has to spend too much of her time and her staffs time and money defending herself. Beyond that the unfairness of the press, the Letterman type family attacks, and the Vanity Fair article could not have been morale boosters.
Her speech was heartfelt and she talked how she is a maverick and this is a maverick move. She gave the speech like a fighter.
This is her first shot in the 2012 Presidential career. She will spend the next few years, campaign for others, speaking as a pundit and racking up political favors. Lets see how it works. What do you think?

She would have probably lost her job anyway since that will be right after the Putin leg of the Obamassiah's continuing worldwide "Apology Tour" as I expect him to apologize for the 1867 USA Seward's Folly "cheap" purchase of Alaska, and immediately return it to Putin.

American politics makes me sick to my stomach.
I think it means exactly what she said it means. The endless attacks on her have only harmed her ability to do her job.
Personally I suspect the left and the RINOs are going to find her to be a formidable foe as a private citizen.

while this is an incredibly risk move, she does get advantages from this:
1. She gets away from having to deal with the endless stream of unwarrented ethics complaints brought by the Democratic shills in Alaska. They weren’t going to succeed, but they kept her from focusing on a bigger agenda and spending the needed time.
2. She suddenly has time to take a national role and could be on television every weekend if she wanted in a good way - either fundraising or leading other initiatives...
which brings me to ..
3. What if she takes a big role in attacking the Cap & Trade legislation. It is a huge issue in the national consciousness - one she knows a great deal about and one that public is very skeptical about. It puts her in the national eye, on the right side and in an area where she has great expertise.
A conservative rout for Cap&Trade might also make National healthcare die a quick death.
I think this might be the plan.. but, if she was Governor, she couldn’t take the lead on this.

What libs and rinos do not understand about conservatives is they mean what they day. For the better of Alaska and her family. Also now she can rip obammy and not need his help with Alaska- gloves off. Plus she can rake in the money.
Being out of elected office does offer some protection and has advantages.

what liberals fear they have to destroy. i read the speech and what i saw was her determination to protect the citizens of alaska from having the taxpayers bled dry because of these ethics complaints and have someone who can do the job instead of constantly defending against this crap. i also saw a woman who would do whatever she felt was necessary to protect her kids. the hatred being flung so constantly at little trig is revolting. and as a mother i think she will prefer to be liberated to deal with these folks on her own terms rather than chained by her role as gov. if she is anything like me, those people had better start ducking and covering. f#ck with me, i will ignore you, f#ck with my kids and i will kill you. get em sarah.
