Obama’s Transparency Nowhere to be Found for EPA and CO2

Obama campaigned on it and even managed to talk about it a full week into office, issuing an executive order on January 23, 2009, promising to create "an unprecedented level of openness in Government" and "establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration." As usual with the words that float so effortlessly from politicians, they were just words. Undoubtedly, they will be paraded about from time to time like a USSR military review--whenever it's convenient to do so. One very important place where transparency is being hidden behind closed doors involves the very inconvenient science behind charging the EPA with CO2 regulation. But at least one group is fighting to open those doors, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

While automotive and financial executives are being called before Congress to discuss what they had for breakfast, the EPA is preparing to take control over CO2 emissions in a manner that would do much to destroy an already ailing economy and bring in an era of "big brother" government of staggering proportions. And they are doing it without debate or scientific disclosure, merely cherry picking from this report or that report as it benefits their cause. Much like the promise of transparency, the evidence gathering in favor of sweeping new EPA powers is strictly based upon convenience and being shared with the public only sparingly.

To fight this, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has created the Alliance for Clear Climate Economics and Science Solutions (ACCESS), which was started to "ensure that any regulation of greenhouse gases using existing environmental laws not harm the economy and American jobs, be based on sound science and allow for public review of all underlying data and scientific analysis.On June 23, 2009, the Chamber filed a Petition for a Formal "On the Record" Endangerment Finding using Administrative Procedure Act §§ 556 and 557. The Chamber also filed extensive written comments in response to EPA's proposed endangerment finding for motor vehicles, analyzing the scientific, legal and policy grounds EPA has set forth for making such a finding."

I really didnt expect much better from the Kenyan,but I thought surely of all the democrats in the Congress a few of them would have balls enough to make stir, to ask a few questions. to not follow that chalk line to American suicide.

Sorrowfully I now believe I was wrong. Its pretty bad to have Democrats in the House, The Senate and the White House and then be represented by a republican minority without a testicle among them.
