Today marks the 65th anniversary of the D-Day invasion to liberate Europe from Nazi tyranny, and what does Google do? Instead of putting up an image to honor the sacrifices made and the triumph of good over evil, they honor Tetris? Tetris?
It's a game for heaven's sake.
The world owes a debt of honor to the brave men who stormed ashore at Normandy and parachuted in to roll the Nazi conquest of Europe. This is what they came up with for today?

Yeah, if those brave men hadn’t stormed the beaches and fought the Nationalists, by now, Europe would have become a Socialist Cesspool.......
Google-great search engine, kooky people and corporation
D-Day ‘changed the course of a century.’ Yes, and it prevented change that civilized people could not have tolerated...
I even saw comments on DemocratUnderground complaining that they didn’t commemorate D-Day. Google is pathetic.
Google hates Christmas, Easter...too.
I’ll bet someone will soon go, ‘That’s why I use Dogpile’, with a straight face, completely ignorant of the fact that Dogpile basically gives results using Google and Yahoo, on a colorful page with a cartoon dog on it.
What do you expect from the Birkenstock crowd that runs it?
Google is a silicon valley technology company based in the San Francisco bay area. I’m certain that they employ a huge number of foreign nationals in the country on temporary visas. Additionally, the American citizens that either run the company (Eric Schmidt, etc) or just work there have been poisoned by the radical liberal environment in the Bay Area and peer pressure to believe that anything associated with patriotism or the US military is both racist and evil.
This explains everything you need to know about Google. They are ‘wise fools’ who are ultimately facilitating the demise of the very country and capitalist system that enabled them to prosper.
I’ve started using Bing too.
Me, too. My daughter works for MS in the legal department, and her boss is one of the attorneys for the "bing" sector. She asked me to try it, and it is very nice. the opening page is always a gorgeous photo, and if you roll your cursor over the image, little windows will reveal interesting questions and places to go for information on the image. The search results are fast, and the typeface is big enough even for geezer-eyes. I would recommend it. (It's "Bing," as in "Ba-Da..." LOLOL!)
My brother’s ex-university classmate works for MS as well, and he claims that it’s overwhelmingly a liberal bastion. I’ve used Bing sometimes just to test it out and it’s great. Then again, I use IXQUICK which hides my Ip address and although they are not as what i expected, they sometimes do the job because I hate giving Google my search queries..
Me too, with the bing thing. Nice change.
Bing.com had a contemporary aerial shot of Normandy...and its as good as Google with some really neat features Google does not have.
