Republican Senator Judd Gregg was Obama’s first choice for the Secretary of Commerce post, and Gregg was actually considering joining the Obama team, until he found out that control of the US Census was being stripped from the Commerce Department and placed under the direct control of White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel.
Then, the same week that Americans learned that they were “domestic terrorists” -- at least according to Obama’s new DHS (Department of Homeland Security), -- if they own a bible, a pocket Constitution or guns, and still believe in Life, Liberty and Freedom, - they also learned that Obama’s Census Bureau had hired thousands of new temporary employees, equipped each with a handheld GPS computer and sent them out to mark GPS coordinates for every residential front door in America.
Oddly, it was this same period that news was breaking of an international flu pandemic, suspected of being a weaponized strain of the virus never before seen, - and that Obama’s team still sees no need to close the US-Mexican border, despite the cross continental spread of a deadly illness now claiming American lives.
Now, if any one of these events happened alone, one might not get too excited. But when a string of such events happen all at once, one begins to question the string of freedom and life threatening coincidences...
I can’t resist the urge to question the authority and purpose behind such a BIG BROTHER initiative, when the official Census itself is not due to be taken until 2010...
No imagination is required to think up a whole laundry list of evil that could be done with a nationwide GPS grid of coordinate’s markers painted on every private home across the country. But I was having trouble thinking up one good reason for it, even one legitimate use that would justify what must be a very expensive undertaking.
According to one of the Census workers, who spoke with me on condition of anonymity, they must GPS mark the coordinates “within 40 ft of every front door” in America and they are supposed to complete that mission nation wide, within 90 days, by the end of July 2009.
The workers were not told why they were GPS marking every front door. But a supervisor is sent out to follow them door-to-door, to make certain that no door is left unmarked. Every door will be marked by one employee, and then checked by a follow-up supervisor.
So, I had to ask, why?
Why does the Obama administration need or want the latitude and longitude coordinates for every home in America ? Why the rush to GPS paint every home in the next 90 days? Why must the marker be within 40 ft of every front door? For what possible purpose does the Fed need GPS coordinates for every home, and under what authority do they have the right? Census workers, whom I asked, had the same holy-crap look on their faces that I had by then...

The USPS finds my house every day without my GPS coordinates.
As to swine flu, it's too wimpy to be a weapon, but it's a great opportunity to continue development of a tyrannical infrastructure.

Robert LaMacchia, head of the Census Bureau’s geography division, says they’ll capture the latitude and longitude of the front door of every house, apartment and improvised shelter they find.
“We will actually knock on doors and look for hidden housing units,” he says. “We will find converted garages; from the outside, it may not look like anybody lives there.”
1. I don't understand how the Obami politicized Census Bureau would be hiring temps even at this point;
2. But if so, what difference does it make?
Unless you live in a car not registered in your name or live in a cabin in the wilderness or never used a credit card or checks or have any kind of institutional affiliation, EVERYONE can be found by Fedgov resources. You are either in a city, county, State, or Fedgov database, which the Feds can access. You haven't had privacy for years. Believe it.
That said, this is just one more abuse of the Fedgov as an invasion of your privacy and an affront against the 4th Amendment
This should be fought with all legal means. Personally, I will tell them to get off my property like I did the last time. I gave them my name and told him I am the owner of the property (as if it couldn't be determined by County records). But when they asked for my ethnicity, I told him to get the f**k off my property and told him he's a racist. Shoulda seen the look in his eyes!
After the census, your name and other personal information they collect will then be linked to the GPS position.
So this was all planned for innocent purposes during the Bush administration which makes me feel a tiny bit better. Suck for them they can’t find out sh*t about our getaway home outside the US.
Not anymore. Military units simply had access to the encrypted signal, which was more precise. The unencrypted signal had random variability introduced into it -- the euphemism was "Selective Availability".
However, Clinton signed an executive order to turn off Selective Availability, so civilian units now have the same accuracy. I believe the DoD has the means to reinstitute Selective Availability very quickly if necessary.
I suspect the number of doors is used to estimate if it is a multi-unit dwelling with the same address.

Thank you Lord for my humble and almost paid for abode. No one would bother marking my door, aw darn. I feel so um, unimportant. O well. Isn’t there a way to electronically interfere??

They can pick the same information off Google.Earth for the entire United States. Except for the number of doors.
But Google.Earth doesn’t mark your lintels.
A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine called and said Homeland Security people were bar coding fences and homes in our area. They were putting these bar codes on fences and doors. Could be the same thing.
Obama is marking us all now.
Just to pick nits, but they could do that this very moment. Think satellite imaging and City/County/State records. Unless you are completely under the radar, they COULD find you. The THEY could do it as I write this. Maybe I've been watching too many movies - I doubt it.
Knowing how vocal you are on this highly visible forum, you're in some database somewhere. I suggest you have a back-up plan as things devolve - I do.
Google Earth shows the wrong house when I enter in my address. It makes an estimate based on the block number and length of street.
This effort compiles the location of each dwelling (or building being used as a dwelling). In general, you can't see the address on a building from the air.
