This is a vanity post. I hope that everyone will send a similar message to Senator Cornyn encouraging him to withdraw his support of Specter and throw it to Toomey.

It would appear that the Republicans have yet to have learned the lesson of McCain's candidacy and their increasingly restive Conservative base.

Here is Cornyn's Communication Director's email address: Kevin_McLaughlin@cornyn.senate.gov

Inundate his mail box with your reaction to this breach of faith.

I sent Cornyn a message a while back telling him he’d lost my vote. I will vote for his opponent regardless of persuasion.

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER DONATE TO THE NATIONAL COMMITTEES - THEY ARE ALWAYS DOING SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THIS. Yes, I’m shouting.

>> Unbelievably, Senator Cornyn (R-TX) Chairman of the Republican National Senatorial Committee has announce his intention to support RINO Senator Arlen Specter in his bid for reelection as Senator of Pennsylvania against his more conservative challenger, former president of the Club for Growth, Pat Toomey. <<

Not unbelievable to me at all. The NRSC always supports incumbent Republicans over challengers, no matter how liberal the incumbent is. This is business as usual for them, and they've done even worse. You should have seen the disgusting anti-Laffey ads they ran in RI to support ultra-liberal Lincoln Chafee (who had a voted record to the LEFT of Russ Feingold!) At least they're not spending conservative money to run anti-Toomey ads... not yet anyway. Bottom line, though, never donate $$$ to an "official" GOP organization like the NRSC or the RNC. If you're going to donate money, always give to individual candidates instead.

I emailed I begged for some conservative principles.

Congress is such an embarrassment. I expect any moment to see them bringing in hay for Incitatus. ...

Oh, maybe that’s Pelosi.... hadn’t thought ...

There is no hope.

I just sent Sen. Cornyn a strong reminder of what the tea parties were about.

I requested he withdraw his support of Sen. Specter or I will withdraw my support of him at the next election cycle.

American Solutions makes it very easy to contact your representatives via your zip code. Here is the link:

RINO Coryn is MINE here in Texas!

Here is the text of a letter that I wrote this turn-coat Republican:

Subject: RINO Alert!

Body of Text:

Do NOT support RINO Senator Arlen Specter in his bid for re-election as Senator of Pennsylvania against more conservative and patriotic Pat Toomey. I will spread the word about you to my neighbors, friends and work relationships about your soft ride in Congress. I promise you that I will go OUT OF MY WAY to help in the next campaign AGAINST YOU, JOHN CORNYN, RINO Representative! You and the other RINOs are the primary problem with this country, you don’t represent your constituents, and you sit there with your back-slapping Demo and Rino buddies. Tyranny in D.C. starts with YOU!!

this is why I don't contribute to the RNC, the RSNC, or the equivalent House committee. Send your contributions directly to candidates you trust.

My email to Cornyn - other Texans, please consider sending “in kind”

Senator Cornyn,

Bluntly, if you support the re-election of the likes of Arlen Specter, then you are part of the problem.

The public has demonstrated in the TEA Parties that they know that the republicans are complicit in this mess. Many have stated that they wish to be rid of the ‘professional politician’ and return to real representative democracy more like that established originally in the Constitution, but with TERM LIMITS.

We also recognize that our professional politicians have allowed the usurpation of our country by leftists. We see indoctrination and historical revision in ALL our schools, we see propaganda machines (the mainstream media) promoting and supporting leftist ideologues and ‘one world’ government, we see judge after judge ignore the oath he or she has taken and make up laws out of thin air; and now we have a student of leftist radicalism as president, with everyone in a position of responsibility failing their own oath to defend the Constitution “against all enemies, foreign and domestic” by not ensuring its requirements are met in regards to Constitutional presidential qualifications.

Your conservative political positions are the republican equivalent to clinton’s triangulation; we see that your interests are not with the needs of Texas or America. As an elected representative from Texas, you should be standing against the fiscal irresponsibility that promotes unfairness and raises the tax burden on all citizens. Supporting Specter is being part of the “republican team” and representing the interest of neither Americans nor the Texans who elected you.

This year may be the last gasp of United States exceptionalism. I will support NO ONE who has in any way contributed to its downturn. I see your support of Specter as such a contribution.

(BTW, My wife and I were members of the Oak Hills Church of Christ BEFORE we built Crown Ridge and remember your using the Church directory for political purposes, another indicator of your lack of discernment and integrity.)

one of your current constituents,
//signed//
