Unbelievably, Senator Cornyn (R-TX) Chairman of the Republican National Senatorial Committee has announce his intention to support RINO Senator Arlen Specter in his bid for reelection as Senator of Pennsylvania against his more conservative challenger, former president of the Club for Growth, Pat Toomey.
Given Senators execrable record of voting against the agenda of his fellow Republican Senators and the good of all American, particularly in supporting the Empty Suit in Chief's $700 Billion budget this year-one of only three Republicans in the entire Congress to do so-I find myself forced to voice my stringent opposition to this foolish move.
Tonight I have sent the following e-mail to Senator Cornyn's Communications Director protesting this decision.

Is this RINO related to Phil Specter?
never mind....he was shooed back into office by Bush, who he quickly shat upon on the senate floor....we need to dump him NOW.
I sent Cornyn a message a while back telling him he’d lost my vote. I will vote for his opponent regardless of persuasion.
How long has Specter been in office? ANY replublican who has been around since BEFORE CLINTON is PART OF THE PROBLEM and NEEDS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER DONATE TO THE NATIONAL COMMITTEES - THEY ARE ALWAYS DOING SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THIS. Yes, I’m shouting.
Not unbelievable to me at all. The NRSC always supports incumbent Republicans over challengers, no matter how liberal the incumbent is. This is business as usual for them, and they've done even worse. You should have seen the disgusting anti-Laffey ads they ran in RI to support ultra-liberal Lincoln Chafee (who had a voted record to the LEFT of Russ Feingold!) At least they're not spending conservative money to run anti-Toomey ads... not yet anyway. Bottom line, though, never donate $$$ to an "official" GOP organization like the NRSC or the RNC. If you're going to donate money, always give to individual candidates instead.
Approaching 30 years, 2010 (assuming he wins) will be his sixth term.
I don't think Specter is going to win. The unions and Dems that normally cross-over to support him are going to vote for whoever runs as a Democrat. Toomey has his work cut out for him, but I think his small-government and fiscal responsibility message will play well in PA. GOP needs to stay out of this race though. Cornyn is an idiot for doing this.
I emailed I begged for some conservative principles.
Congress is such an embarrassment. I expect any moment to see them bringing in hay for Incitatus. ...
Oh, maybe that’s Pelosi.... hadn’t thought ...
There is no hope.
Well, don't go that far. Cornyn as a Senator is still solid. But what he's doing is bone-headed. See, this is why elected officials shouldn't be involved in crap like this. The NRSC or NRCC should be run by people outside of Washington.
My email has been sent.
Just keep in mind that the senate republicans just might need a vote or two from ole magic bullet between now and election time. Probably would have little chance of getting that vote if they all publicly turn against him now.
I just sent Sen. Cornyn a strong reminder of what the tea parties were about.
I requested he withdraw his support of Sen. Specter or I will withdraw my support of him at the next election cycle.
I mentioned this on a previous thread on this subject; but, the NRSC did this the last time Toomey challenged Specter. Same old, same old. The only hope is a strong grass-roots movement to work tirelessly for Toomey. (And, get people to support Toomey with their $'s and not send them to the NRSC.)
He's well on his way to achieving that goal, since Peg Luksik, Larry Murphy, and Pat Toomey are all announced primary challengers to Specter, and all three can point to very solid conservative credentials. Specter expects to win the same way Topinka was nominated for Governor and Bob Corker was nominated for the Senate in 2006. Both were RINOs who won with less than 50% of the vote thanks to the conservative majority in the primary being divided.
On election night, we might likely see something like this in Pennsylvania :
U.S. SENATOR - REPUBLICAN PRIMARY
Arlen Specter 40%
Pat Toomey 38%
Peg Lugsik 17%
Larry Murphy 5%

RINO Coryn is MINE here in Texas!
Here is the text of a letter that I wrote this turn-coat Republican:
Subject: RINO Alert!
Body of Text:
Do NOT support RINO Senator Arlen Specter in his bid for re-election as Senator of Pennsylvania against more conservative and patriotic Pat Toomey. I will spread the word about you to my neighbors, friends and work relationships about your soft ride in Congress. I promise you that I will go OUT OF MY WAY to help in the next campaign AGAINST YOU, JOHN CORNYN, RINO Representative! You and the other RINOs are the primary problem with this country, you don’t represent your constituents, and you sit there with your back-slapping Demo and Rino buddies. Tyranny in D.C. starts with YOU!!
The house version of the NRSC is the NRCC- National Republican Campaign Committee. (http://www.nrcc.org/) The last big house race in this country they had on their plate was conservative FReeper Chicagolady was the Republican nominee against Crook County Comissioner Mike Quigley for Rahm Emanuel’s vacant house seat.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the RINOs at the NRCC didn’t give one cent to Chicagolady.
Toomey will take it this time. Too much has happened for Specter to get it again. Perhaps as a warning shot we should run a Conservative in the Dem primary, and if they opt to pull off a stunt like last time, we can just as easily try to screw with their primary.
That’s an interesting idea I haven’t thought of. Running a credible DINO in the RAT primary will prevent them from crossing over and trying to affect ours.
