I have been reading some discussion regarding guns and ammunition recently and as a lady have always had trouble with a shotgun or rifle due to the length of the barrel. I can use it, but sometimes uncomfortable or not able to aim quickly due to the weight or size.
I went to Walmart today and there is a nice rifle there made by Rossi that is $147. It has an interchangable barrel between a .22 or a .410. So if they are out of one type of ammo, you can go with the other if necessary.
Also, the barrel is short and the gun itself is very lightweight.
So I thought I'd share.
No chit..........
Welcome to the watch list.
HAHA!
Went to a billiards hall and it’s nothing like the ‘pool halls’ around our parts. This was up in the city and compared to the guys around here, I play pool for crap.
So we (hubby and I) are playing team with a couple of city guys and I said “I’m nothing like my husband” who can run the table.
After my 5th ball in they questioned if I was a shark! I’m like “Wow, you guys must suck around here”.
Nice.
You realize you’ll be a pariah with the internal extractor crowd?
“Rossi .357 Magnum”
Me too. 6”, stainless steel. Very accurate. Good price too. Not sure but believe Taurus bought Rossi.
Also bought a S&W Sigma .40 a couple weeks ago. Under $400, eats anything, from Speer to Federal to Winchester white box. Never owned a striker-fired gun, but like it. (The trigger’s a bear but has gotten better.)
how do you like your “rock” Iam picking mine up next week
Excellent resource for pricing firearms HERE.
You can get pricing, order and pick them up participating FFL dealers in your area.
Ammo is cheap...and it's a mean round. Fact is...hollow points would be advisable...if using for self-defense.
LOL!! Yes indeed...many hours spent over beers arguing and fist-fights over the advantages of internal vs external extractors.
Nice gun...
I’m very aware of that model, but please allow me to make another suggestion.Plain but simple! They also have a Rossi .22 and 20ga combo, the reciever is heavy in design which adds to the .22’s accucacy. but remember and take note that it require disassembly to change barrels. it’s not plug and play. it is also a single shot breech loader.
Check out Mossberg’s model 500 .410 Homedefender.
Well, I and not a very good shot. I know because I’ve seen folks who ARE good shots...
Watch out for the old guys.
Just be careful it’s like eating potato chips.
First you get a 91/30, then a M-44, then you
buy a Finn 91/30 then you want a Finn M-39,
then a Mauser 98, soon you don’t have room
in the closet for them. Sometimes I think they
breed in there, as there always seem to be more
than I thought.
The Finns are a bit higher in price but the
workmanship is superb.
The Nagant pistols are a real buy now and still
plenty in excellent shape. Odd cartridge but you
can get a cylinder for .32 that will let you shoot
something cheaper.
It's basically an AK-47 chambered for 12 gauge. The magazine hold 12.
That one's worth taking a hard look at IMO.
L
See post #76. The AK comes in 12 gauge too.
I carry a Kimber ultraraptor .45 in an in-the-waistband holster behind the right hip with a 511 tactical shirt unbuttoned over a tee shirt with no trouble fitting in..
That's what I like about Arizona. Concealment is not required...
