The GOP is the Seinfeld party.

The party that’s about nothing.

The problem is that the conservatives bi+ching the loudest are not willing to run for office. They're quite content passing judgment on those who are willing to subject themselves to public scrutiny. I'm not saying that we shouldn't call them like we see them, but who in the hell would volunteer for this?

What I don’t see people saying much anymore but I think is the most important part....US takeover!

The left was infiltrated long ago and now that they see that they can lose(2000,2004) they are in the process of TOTAL take over.

Communists and Socialist Marxism is what I’m talking about! This has been for a long time, an attempt to bring down the Western civilization and Democracy. What we are seeing in the GOP is what we have been seeing for years with the Dems.

My point...RETALIATION! The only way to win against Socialism is to arise to the occasion. I feel the ideas for taking back the GOP is long overdue, we need to find or make our own party of REAL conservatism and fight back!

We voted for these people on the notion that they would carry out the conservative agenda that we sent them there to perform.

Uh, NO.

Most of them got votes because they were not as leftist as the person they were running against. Some got votes because they were "electable", whatever that means, and someone who really was Conservative, Republican or not was told to STFU because they were "not electable".

FOr decades, this has been the order of the day come election time.

Repeatedly we have been told that 'You have to vote for so-and-so, they are the only conservative in the race.

Well, the funny thing about voting for the lesser evil, is that sooner or later, all that lesser evil adds up to a greater one.

A slow-moving train to Perdition is going the same way as the express, and we have finally arrived.

Yesterday I put this on another topic as a reply.
I sent it out yesterday to the RNC. It is about
time they accept responsibility.
Others have added a few comments afterwards.

Republican National Committee
Chairman Robert M. (Mike) Duncan
310 First Street, SE
Washington DC 20003

Dear Mr. Chairman,

The Election as well as the Inauguration is over.
The “Other” Party won. President Obama is now
our President for better or worse. The question is
only what is the plan to regain control of either
the House or Senate? By now you have of course
held soul searching studies as to what went wrong,
and believe me, something is seriously wrong with
the RNC Strategy.

I know the line for the masses is that we hear you but…
Why haven’t we taken positive stands on the following:
• Sealing our borders and deporting illegal Aliens.
• Create Immigration reform but apply it only to those who obey our laws.
• Remove the “Birthright Privilege” to Children of Illegal Aliens.
• Eliminate any form of Government assistance to Illegal Aliens
• English as the Language of the land. Assimilate legal immigrants into society.
• Build the fence on the Southern border.
• Photo ID Requirements for elections.
• Provide appropriate sentencing for career criminals and or restore the Death Penalty.
• Stand up against Political oversight in the Finance Committee.
• Deny further Congressional or Senatorial representation from the District of Columbia.
• Strengthen our Military.
• Authorize the treatment for Noncombatant Terrorists as needed to extract information.
• Stop Earmark Spending, both sides of the aisle.
• Provide a Line Item Veto for the President.
• Create Tort Reform and reduce awards of law suits.
• Bring Liberal Judicial rulings to the Public’s Attention every time.
• Reduce the Criminal’s rights and appeals process.
• Develop alternative Fuel sources.
• Support domestic Drilling and production of refineries.
• Stand against raising the tax on Fuel.
• Reduce Spending by a REAL 4% per year.
• Don’t support and call a reduction in proposed Tax increases as a Tax Cut.
• Eliminate some Cabinet Posts.
• Eliminate obsolete Government Departments.
• Reduce the size of Government by 5 %
• Eliminate Funding for most Federal Grants.
• Provide the House and Senate the same retirement and health care as the Citizens.
• Pass Bills that only contain language that pertains to the subject.
• Lower Taxes or better yet consider alternatives to the Income Tax.
• Use common sense at the TSA when screening passengers randomly.
• Eliminate Gerrymandering Districts.
• Return to basic Conservative Principals.
• Return to basic Conservative Issues.
• Get out the Candidate’s message clearly to the public.
• Create and use “Wedge Issues” for elections.
• Reduce support for Candidates who lean more to the Democrat platform.
• Return to a grass roots system to win public support.
• Hold candidates accountably for election promises.

The above are some of the thoughts I wish to convey to the Party.
We have been losing our identity over the last few election cycles
and weakening the ideals we should stand for. If we are going to
act like Democrats I may as well vote for them, at least I know in
advance that I am going to be in for a rough time.

What part of Common Sense do you not understand? The question
remains why do you think your constituents remain uninspired and
apathetic? The real answer there is no longer a difference from “My
Party” and the other one so why get energetic?

I am sorry this went so long but the ordinary people I associate with
are all getting fed up with business as usual. It is time for a change
and I don’t mean the President’s.

Sincerely yours,

I believe we should plan to recapture the republican party because starting a new party has no guarantees and it would take too long. First, we need to certify true conservatives already within the party. Any deviation and they lose their certifcation.

The socialists began their quest to take over the democrat party I believe in 1968 during the riots in Grant Park in Chicago where Obama quite appropriately celebrated his election on election night.

It depends upon how quickly we can adjust to reality. I think we are somewhere between 1929 and 1933 Weimar Republic.

You will not find too many people on the board happy with the GOP. It's not the we have left the GOP, but the GOP has left us. It has abandoned its conservative base. At this point in time, I'm seriously thinking about supporting a third party, and I'm beginning to think that secessionist movement is the only answer. Right now, we have an electoral college that is controlled by a few large states, such as California and New York. The “red states” don't have much influence or political power. We are like the Israelites in Goshen.

the first part of any plan would be to read Rules for Radicals....

then insist anyone seeking leadership position in the GOP does the same....

step 2— get a mission statement that all conservatives can agree on...Cherokee GOP of GA has a great one to start with...

just my 2 cents

Welcome to the Enlightenment! However, if this thread lasts long enough expect a hundred different people to come up with a thousand different reasons why conservatives should stay with the GOP. As for me, I told the party of back-stabbers to take a hike in the summer of ‘07 and I will never go back.

I guess you didn't bother to read Drudge this evening. Boehner is telling them NO!!! Also says the former aide to ex-leader Hastert is a lobbyist and he is trying to "get something" on at least 40 GOP congressmen so they can peel them off... oh, and Obama is meeting with corporate CEO's tomorrow to put pressure on the GOP, too...

Michelle Bachmann was on Glenn Beck this afternoon and begged for all of us to call, fax, email our representatives, said the democrats are trying to force this through before the people get wind how bad it is...

as to how good or bad our representatives are... well that is because WE have not held their feet to the fire... a third party would be no better beacause basically American;s are lazy, have a manana attitude and let the other guy do it attitude... heck most cannot even bother to vote and then they sit back an complain.

I was fed up with them in 2006 when it became apparent that they were going to push shamnesty down our throats regardless of the cost.

You can do better than that. Find a conservative who espouses your beliefs and is running for Congress or Senate and campaign for them. Help them raise money. Push them in the face of the GOP.

See there were a lot of good conservative candidates in the last couple of years that never made it. I sent money to the couple that I found that stood for the things I felt most important.

That is what I’m going to concentrate on these next couple of years. It’s Congress we need to take back control of. They are the money bags.

And, yes, I’m with you on being disgusted that GOP is not standing firm against the free spending on Capital Hill.

Posting a bump to the American Independent Party and the Constitution Party. They have been the ones to come out and help with the suits and activisms for this Presidential Coup.

The RNC? Crickets? I hear crickets.
