The GOP falls into two camps.

1. Don’t give a darn.

2. They’re in on it and support it.

It’s really that simple.

What's left of the GOP is not enough to hold the fort on this onslaught. I'm upset with the people who stuck their heads in a hole and refused to look at the facts behind the Obama candidacy. I'm upset that the worst kind of prejudice I've ever seen was allowed to run rampant in a society that should have known better. I'm upset that no one — either Republican or Democrat — stood watch over our country.

I'm disgusted — period.

Most of what we have left we are trying to apply some heavy duty starch to.

We have doubts it will hold them up.

Reagan: “I didn’t leave the Democratic party. The party left me.”

Robroy in 2007: I didn’t leave the Republican party. The republican party left me.

I am going on two years out of the Republican party. I take this VERY seriously:

“America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.” — opening lines of 101 Things To Do ‘Til The Revolution by Claire Wolfe

http://billstclair.com/lodge/Books101.shtml

Nobody really wants to say out loud when we have left the “awkward” stage. It is deep and broad for the obvious ramifications of taking that final step. But the people are being pushed hard. It will be interesting to see what the future holds. When they DO respond, I want to be out of the way.

Time for a new, national CONSERVATIVE Party. Jettison the RINOS. Let the GOP go the way of the Whigs. We’ll be a minority party for a while, but hell, we’re that now, and for the forseeable future, with the RINOs.

They’re a bunch of castrated wusses bent on making kissy-face with dems. SCREW THAT.

The root cause isn’t quite clear to me, but the problem is. If there’s a lack of conservative values at the core, lack of courage, or an inability to show some blood & guts passion for what is important - there needs to be a boot in ass out the door.

seeing those who are supposed to be leaders in the GOP not even batting an eye

They're busy!!!

It takes all their time attending cocktail parties and keeping their lips firmly planted on the "One's" posterior!

I remain a registered Republican only for the slim chance I might be able to vote for a conservative candidate in my local and state primaries. I used to contribute time and money to the party. No More...

I detest the "open primary" concept that allows a determined, dedicated group of Independents and Democrats to choose our candidates. The Republican Party must stop this insanity and close our primaries.
