Caroline Kennedy rumored affair and Arthur Pinch Sulzberger? Caroline Kennedy’s rumored affair was with New York Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger.
Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, Jr. (born Sept 22 1951) is the son of Arthur Ochs Sulzberger aka Punch Sulzberger. The son is sometimes called Arthur Pinch Sulzberger as a variation of his father’s nickname.
“Obama recently named Caroline Kennedy to his vice presidential search committee - and she’s been telling friends that if he’s elected to the White House, she wants to move to Washington, D.C., and take a role in his Democratic administration,” a friend revealed.
“But the reality is that this plan is dulling the pain of her personal problems. Insiders believe that her marriage to Ed Schlossberg is pretty much over.”

Now, now, she just got a little confused on the berg/berger Schlossberg/Sulzberger name thing. Happens everyday with people of her intellectual level. I mean look at uncle Ted when he got confused between the names Osama/Obama.
My personal opinion, which is worth nothing,…
Is that Teddy was pushing her…for his own ego….for the Kennedy name…..and Teddy thought he could use his illness to make things happen….

You’ve echoed my thoughts .. the idea of wanting to be in the Senate sounds nothing like the Caroline Kennedy we’ve read/heard about all these years.
Her mother went out of her way to be sure her kids weren’t “Kennedys” in the sense of following that family’s tradition of serving in politics, and various and sundry bawdy behaviors. Not that Jackie O was a saint, but at some level it seems she did look at the inlaws as trash. Monied trash. That was confirmed when JFK, Jr. made the comment about his cousins’ bad behavior.
It would have been smarter for Caroline to stay away from the Senate fray. If she wanted to serve in an Obama administration, she could have been Ambassador to the Vatican or something like that. Of course, rumors of an affair w/Sulzberger or perhaps even being married to a non-Catholic could have excluded her from that assignment. She could have gotten Ambassador to France, a la Pamela Harriman, and that would have been a smart move.
Now, I think she has little option but to stay in NYC and go back to her very low profile, try to redeem her reputation.
I just can’t believe nobody had the guts to tell her she was just too stupid even for public office. Defend the Kennedys if you wish, but she’s even stupider than some of her cousind.
Maybe old Pinch was hoping Caroline’s money could rescue his floundering newspaper before it sinks into oblivion.
I don’t think she’s stupid..it is difficult to be a politician..it takes years to learn how to “behave.” She just wasn’t ready. If we go the “stupid” route, we are just as bad as the other side when they attacked Sarah. Caroline Kennedy is NOT STUPID.
When Pinch talks about he Old Grey Lady, Caroline gets upset.

She is having an affair with Pinch Sulzberger. That’s not stupid? I don’t care what the RATS said about Sarah Palin, Caroline is stupid.
If that makes you feel good to think..fine.
And if it makes you feel good to think every Kennedy is a genius...fine. You probably thought JFK jr. was a good pilot, too.
