I really doubt they join to troll for sex. I am sure the reasoning for each individual is unique, just like everyone else. Some want to serve, some want to make a point, some want the experience..
I agree. There must be plenty of less stressful opportunities for gay sex other than a life in the military. Plus, these days how many straight people would join the military just to troll for sex? Very few, I would suspect.

I served with a few, several of whom I had no idea they were gay. We all lived in the same barracks, went about our duties and everybody was cool. To be honest, I don't think there was any policy against homosexuals back then because there was a draft.
Even tho today is not like it was 39 years ago, I have to believe the reasons for joining the military have remained the same.

Uh...THEY ALREADY HAVE SUCH ACCESS HERE AT HOME. And don’t need to wear a uniform, take orders, eat MREs or risk their lives (except with AIDS) to get it.
