How Much Longer Can They Sell Darwinism?
From Sea to Shining Sea ^ | 1/4/09 | Purple Mountains

All across the country, archeologists, paleontologists and biologists are taking part in what is perhaps the greatest example of political correctness in history – their adherence to Darwinism and their attempts to ostracize any scientist who does not agree with them. In doing so, they are not only ignoring the vast buildup of recent scientific discoveries that seriously undermines the basics of Darwinism, but they are also participating, due to politically correctness, in a belief system that indirectly resulted in the deaths of millions of people – those slaughtered by the Stalins, the Hitlers, the Maos, the Pol Pots and others who took their cue from Darwinism’s tenets.

"Science has already been hijacked by religious nuts, you missed it! It's called Darwinism."

Regardless of how earnestly you assert this pablum, or nostrum, whichever connotes the most queasiness, it remains insupportable hokum.

Religious nuts generally stay far away from any hint of real science, unless they think they can score points somehow by citing an off-the-cuff religious quotation that supposedly skewers the fact-citing opposition.

Your supposed hijacking Darwinists are no more hijackers of anything than a very real beagle dog was the lead mutineer aboard the H.M.S. Beagle.

I rather enjoy living in the most powerful technology advanced country in the know history of the planet. If you and yours get your way we will lose that edge.

Believe in Darwinism if you want to, but when you do so you are accepting a religious, faith based, belief and not science. If you chose to follow this religion, then it is your right to do so. Freedom of religion is what makes America a great country. Darwinism is a religion and no amount of mocking me with obscure words and pompous phrases will ever change that.

"Darwinism is a religion ..."

What you need now is a big loud bullhorn, and a spiffy uniform, and maybe the power of the State behind you, and you can perhaps turn this lie into a perceived truth.

For lessons in the technique, look up Joseph Goebbels.

To make a claim such as this is so far from the mainstream that you couldn't find it with a telescope.

The theory of evolution is a science, and follows the scientific method.

The scientific method is the exact opposite of religion. The scientific method relies on facts, and builds and tests theories in order to explain those facts.

Fundamentalist religions rely on scripture and revealed "knowledge," and abhor facts and theories which contract that "knowledge."

More traditional and established religions (e.g., Catholics) do not see a conflict with scientific facts and theories.

Continuing to claim that acceptance of (not belief in) the theory of evolution is a religion is a very fringe belief which is not supported by evidence. Perhaps you could provide evidence for your claim next time?

Your right Peking Man was a man that was supposed to be the missing link. Its hard to keep all the Darwinist Frauds separate sometimes, but here’s a good list:

Homo sapiens neanderthalensis (Neandertal man) - 150 years ago Neandertal reconstructions were stooped and very much like an ‘ape-man’. It is now admitted that the supposedly stooped posture was due to disease and that

Neandertal is just a variation of the human kind.
Ramapithecus - once widely regarded as the ancestor of humans, it has now been realized that it is merely an extinct type of orangutan (an ape).

Eoanthropus (Piltdown man) - a hoax based on a human skull cap and an orangutan’s jaw. It was widely publicized as the missing link for 40 years.
Hesperopithecus (Nebraska man) - based on a single tooth of a type of pig now only living in Paraguay.

Pithecanthropus (Java man) - now renamed to Homo erectus. See below.

Australopithecus africanus - this was at one time promoted as the missing link. It is no longer considered to be on the line from apes to humans. It is very ape-like.

Sinanthropus (Peking man) was once presented as an ape-man but has now been reclassified as Homo erectus (see below)

I certainly understand why frauds don’t like the internet. It’s too full of information.

"Neandertal is just a variation of the human kind."

Neandertal is a different species. That's an important distinction.

There is as much proof that evolution is a hoax but you Fundamentalists ignore that evidence to cling to your failing religion. Here’s more explanation of your “science”.

by Dr. Gary Parker (Lecture 8 of 10)

If you believe a frog turned into a prince that’s a fairy tale, but if you believe it took 300 thousand years, that’s evolution. Evolution is an interesting story, but if you want to believe it as science you must be able to show a series of fossils which demonstrate gradual change. Evolutionists have been searching for evidence of a link between man (homo-sapiens) and apes for over 100 years.

Neanderthals were supposed to be ape-men. Their bodies were stooped over because they had a bone disease, and there was a lack of vitamin D and iodine. Their art, belief in the afterlife, and brain volume, all point to the conclusion that Neanderthals were advanced homo-sapiens, not ape-men. Evolutionary belief that humans who look different are “sub-human” leads to racism and genocide.

Piltdown man was a deliberate hoax. It was used for over 40 years to convince school children that evolution was scientific fact. But the filed teeth and 50 year old ape jaw bone proved it to be a fabrication. How could so many scientists be fooled by it? People believe what they want to believe, without being critical of the “facts.”

Java man was discovered by a scientist who went looking for the missing link. He found a skull cap and a leg bone 50 feet apart in a gravel deposit. Bones in a gravel deposit could have been washed in from anywhere, and the presence of human bones in the same gravel deposit prove that “Java man” was not an ancestor of humans.

Peking man is based on some ape skulls that were found outside caves in China prior to World War II. The skulls were all bashed in from the rear, and some tools were found near by. Contrary to evolutionists, the most obvious conclusion is that some humans had boiled and eaten the monkey brains.

Nebraska man was based entirely upon a single tooth. The rest of the man was completely imagination. Later it was discovered that the tooth was from a species of extinct pig.

Ramapithecus - this was considered to be the first upright walking ape. It was reconstructed as a walking ape based merely on a jaw and teeth. More recent related evidence has shown that this is an ordinary ape.

A unique creature named Zinjanthropus was discovered by Dr. Louis Leakey. Again these ape bones were assumed to be ape-men because tools were found near by. But after this discovery, regular human bones were found in earth layers below the ape bones. Scientists now agree that these bones could not represent human ancestors. See http://www.icr.org/pubs/imp/imp-011.htm

Lucy - these bones were promoted as a pre-human ancestor. But the evidence shows that Lucy is just species of chimpanzee. See http://www.icr.org/pubs/btg-b/btg-011b.htm

Richard Leakey has completed extensive research to prove that distinct human and ape skeletons can be discovered as far back in the fossil record as is known. He is convinced that evolution is true, but he is honest enough to admit that we do not yet have evidence to show a link between humans and apes.

The fossil evidence continues to contradict the theory of evolution. But it confirms what God says about creation in the Bible. God made man, apes, and all other mammals in specific, specialized kinds

I just don’t have the Faith to believe, especially when everything is so easily explained.

Actually you Darwinists have the power of the state behind you. Goebbels was an evolutionist and so was Hitler, hence the weeding of the superior race to evolve it to a Super Aryan. But hey, 200 million sacrifices is a small price to pay for the advancement of science.

You would think even evolutionists would be outraged over what was done in their names? Oh yeah, they're scientists/moral relativists.

Its not so much a religion as a giant Cult. Anybody who questions the cult will be ostracized or excommunicated and nobody in the cult wants that. Like all cults they never question themselves and only attack anybody who questions them. This thread is a perfect example, to question science is heresy.

I am far too cynical to go along w/the fish to man story. Not that its not a perfectly valid explanation for you. You have more trust than I.

The part I love is that the beginning of life doesn’t count anymore. That caldron of goo didn’t hold up so you just ignore the Gorilla in the corner.

"... to question science is heresy."

You are missing the point entirely. To question science is science.

Scientists are like little boys on the playground. A playground of the mind, perhaps.

One makes an assertion. "Oh, yeah? PROVE it!" says another.

The science occurs when he does.

You very well know that evolution doesn’t cover the origin on life - for you to imply it does is simply wrong - it reminds me of the debate tactics of the left.

Of course, why would the origin of life have anything to do with evolution?? Who has the ignore the obvious tactics?

Look I have no problem if you believe in a dying religion. Plenty of people still learn Latin too. God Bless You.

Bray, don't try to pass that creationist nonsense off as science.

I studied fossil man and evolution for six years in graduate school and defended those two fields for my Ph.D. examinations.

I know the difference between creation "science" and real science, and what you have posted is creation "science" (misrepresentations, fabrications, exaggerations, and outright lies designed to fool those who don't know any better--I know better).

But if you are convinced that that nonsense is real and defensible, and accurately portrays the status of evolutionary research and theory, bring it on.

But you will have to do better than that discredited list you posted. And you will have to do better than Carl Wieland.

Take your one best shot.

OOOOO we have a high priest of the cult in our midst. Don't tell me let me guess, you decide who is right and who is wrong. Sorta like the feminists saying unless your a woman you have no opinion.

Since you are a high priest of science, why is this guy saying that more and more scientists are finding species Statis than transition. Give us your best fossil that shows transition of species.

As a scientist, are you opposed to ostracizing scientists that are finding evidence that seriously questions your little religion?

Ass for your one best shot comment, typical arrogance of someone who won't question his own beliefs. Most cultists are that way. You must think your superior to us rabble weeds. Must be nice to have the state goose stepping for you, course Christians would never know what that is like.

Evolutionists Goose Stepped through Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russian and Mao's China, in search of a superior race, you have any problem w/that? Stay arrogant, you make our point better than we ever could.
