After 10 years and many thousands of replies, I am leaving FR.

I don't really care, and I don't know why anyone else would.

I am leaving before I am banned (again). Truth doesn't seem to matter on FR. I don't know if it is donations or sympathetic opinions that do, but I have been suspended twice when I followed the rules and the people who complained to the moderators didn't, yet the moderators sided with them.

For the record, evolution is a fact and the Shroud of Turin is a fraud. I would prove it if the admin moderators would let me, but they won't. Your resident "expert", Swordmaker won't debate me because he can't.

I will work to build a forum where members have rights and truth matters.

Merry Christmas

We are told time and again that theories are falsified. Correct?

That they are to be supported by evidence and disproved.

The evidence has been presented time and again and has yet to be effectively disproved.

And dismissing the evidence as *not science* is not disproving.

As for scientific evidence supporting Scripture, there's plenty. Not that Scripture needs the approval of man to validate it, but it IS interesting that science and scientists have come to the same conclusions about the earth and its beginning that the Bible talked about thousands of years ago. Scientists are just playing catch up.

For example......

Gen 1:1 In the beginning.....

There was a beginning supported by the Big Bang Theory and Einstein’s equations and Hubble’s observations.

Gen 1:2 The earth was formless and void,...

Supported by the solar nebula theory and the proto earth.

Gen 1:20 ”Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures,

Scientists say that life arose in the seas.

Gen 1:24 ”Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind...

Gen 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground,

“Shaped from clay [origin of life]” http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1515522/posts

Scientists have concluded that clay was necessary for the formation of life.

Eccles 1:6 Blowing toward the south, Then turning toward the north, The wind continues swirling along; And on its circular courses the wind returns.

Scripture describes the circulating system of winds.

Eccles 1:7 All the rivers flow into the sea, Yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers flow, There they flow again.

The Bible also describes the water cycle.

Lev 17:10 - 12 `And any man from the house of Israel, or from the aliens who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from among his people. `For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’ “Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, `No person among you may eat blood, nor may any alien who sojourns among you eat blood.’

Blood is necessary for life. The life is in the blood.

Isa 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Job 9 :5, 8 5”It is God who removes the mountains, they know not how, When He overturns them in His anger; 8.Who alone stretches out the heavens And tramples down the waves of the sea;

Earth is round. Could also refer to the orbit of the earth as seen from space. Also, in those verses, the expansion of the universe.

Col 1: 15- 17 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

All things are being held together; gravitation, strong and weak nuclear forces, magnetism.

It’s comforting to see that this forum can’t discuss science in a rational and non-confrontational manner without bringing up communism, atheism, and Joseph Mengele.

Best to keep it hostile and non-productive, but predictable.

[[I am leaving before I am banned (again). Truth doesn’t seem to matter on FR.]]

Oh it matters- that’s why you’re leaving apprently- going to ‘greener pastures’ where the truth doesn’t matter evidently

[[For the record, evolution is a fact and the Shroud of Turin is a fraud.]]

Click your heels three times while declaring “I Believe, I beleive” and maybe someday Evolution will become an actual biological possibility- till then though- it’s biologically impossible- but again- keep clicking.

[[I will work to build a forum where members have rights and truth matters.]]

Yay- the world will be ‘blessed’ with yet another lame website full of blatant outright lies, half-truths, and assumptions that the owner tries to pass off as actual scientific fact- Yippie! Can’t wait- You get ‘em tiger!

You're cherry picking the Bible?!

Fail. Hard.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning.....

There was a beginning supported by the Big Bang Theory and Einstein’s equations and Hubble’s observations.

The full quote is:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

It makes no mention of a Big Bang, E=mc2 or anything else relating to science.

Gen 1:2 The earth was formless and void,...

Supported by the solar nebula theory and the proto earth.

The full quote is:

The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters

So, did God create the earth or was it 'formless and void'? How can there be a 'surface of waters' if it is 'formless'?

Sigh. You're trying, hard, to make your religion fit the science.

It's a creation story. Every religion before and after has one.

And yet there are numerous threads here each day that never do such a thing.

Truth should matter.

Posting only the relevant passages is cherry picking? What do you want, that I post the whole thing?

You can’t get away from the fact that time and again, scientists who just love to reject Scripture keep coming to the same conclusions that the Bible stated thousands of years before.

At one time the steady state theory was preeminent in science. The only people who believed that the universe had a beginning were those religious Bible believers.

Einstein’s equations showed that the universe indeed did have a beginning, much to his chagrin; to the point where he inserted a *cosmological constant* to make his equations fit the theory instead of adjusting the steady state theory to fit the data. Not incredibly objective of him, now was it?

He finally had to admit that he was wrong when Hubble’s observations and work with red-shift showed that Einstein’s equations were correct after all, and the the universe did have a beginning.

So what if the Bible doesn’t mention E=mc2? How is that relevant to the fact that the Bible states that the universe and the earth had a beginning and it was right when the scientists were wrong?

valkyry1 As does your religion

Exactly. Singularity, the Big Bang, evolution, are all the creation accounts of the secular humanist and atheist.

They just think that theirs is right because they think that they have better evidence for it than anyone else.

They're putting most conspiracy theorists to shame. All I can figure is that they are projecting big time.

Actually, it’s nothing more complicated than a classic tactic of changing the subject. Your antagonists recognize that they cannot win the argument with you over spending the people’s money without recourse to their approval, so they are reduced to hurling vile charges at you in the hopes that your denials will take you away from the issues you espouse and defend. They are not the least concerned over what they fear Christians might do to them. They fear the competition of Christian philosophy.
