My honest opinion is that we’re going to have that second revolution. My sadness is that I’m no longer a young buck capable of providing much help.

Your ideas may be about 20 years too late.

More average Americans now enjoy so many government (read taxpayer funded) perks that they are unlikely to willingly give them up to force a revolution even in their own local governments!

The video is not about violence, it’s abour pressure on our leaders. Tell them “Do what we say, or get their collective asses thrown out of office.”

We’d be better off telling the government and those that have blind faith in it to go screw themselves and seceding.

We get the chance to start anew, give Big Brother little to no justification to clamp down harder, and those who helped bring about this disaster we’re in will, for once, not benefit from the fruit of someone else’s labor.

Paine was right then and is, unfortunately, right now. Our rights and liberties will continue to be trampled until the American people stand up and say no more. It will entail the removal of leftist politicians from office, leftist judges from courts, a rewrite of countless PC laws and regulations-—in short, freedom returned to the individual. And the place to start will be Washington, DC. Millions will have to literally descend upon the Capital, the Supreme Court and the White House, remove the occupants and begin again.

I recommend the entire text of Thomas Paine's Common Sense.

Cited before on this forum but worth repeating because the French Revolution, although out of similar sympathies, ended up in a much different way - the dictator Napolean Bonaparte - than the American version. That is, when Lafayette, ally of the American Revolution, sprung open the Bastille, twelve old men emerged, looked around, and through the fact they had for so long been imprisoned and dispirited, declined the light, turned back and rejoined the dungeon.

An Austrian friend of mind uses the term, "beaten down" to indicate the extermination of the spirit (of freedom), executed by the Left.

For me the really sad thing, as a part-time college teacher is the obvious cluelessness of America's youth. And of course that the so-called conservative party (Republican) doesn't have a clue, or intention, of enlightening them.

We are dealing here on a genuinely religious front. The spirit is either within the self, ala Christianity, and maybe Buddhism, or evaporated by external authority, ala the Semitic religions.

That's the way it is.

ref: Common Sense (Paine), The Outline of History (HG Wells), The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind (Jaynes), The Trilogy (CS Lewis), The New Testament (M/M/L/J), Hamlet (Shakespeare), The Pentagon of Power (Mumford), The Rise of the West (McNeill), Mohammed and Charlemagne, (Pirenne), The Republic (Plato), Conversation with a Chinese, Voltaire.

I’ve been ready. Sadly, we are being slowly boiled by socialism. By the time enough people realize it, we’ll be too weak to revolt. Also, I just do not see even a single, strong leader in the public view - at the time of the original revolution, there were many.

I wish we would split = the middle of the country return to our constitution, work ethic, personal liberty, and a tiny government; and the east/west coasts plus the upper midwest can form their perfect socialist utopia where everyone has everything and nobody has to work.

There will be no second revolution.

There will be no civil war.

There will be no secession.

There will be no conservative insurrection.

And no amount of Pollyana-speak is going to change the Sheep.

Thanks for the link. It was painfully slow, will watch later.

“The video is not about violence, it’s about pressure on our leaders.”

To be safe, we should proceed with that pressure today Dec 8 under the assumption the courts will do nothing prior to Jan 8 with regard to O’s eligibility. In other words, we cannot afford to wait until Jan 8 to take action.

See my About page in this regard.

Pressure has been the traditional means available to us, but it appears from the recent election we may no longer be dealing with tradition. We might even expect in the foreseeable future to see the taxpayers outnumbered by the tax recipients.

Another poster pointed out, “We have a right to change the form of the government.”

Well, if that is true then it is true for “them” as well and I submit “they” are outplaying us.

“The Marxists and Capitalists are struggling in a non-violent civil war for the government of our nation, but only the Marxists seem to know that”

Everybody here should remember that massive social changes, such as revolutions, whether violent or not, are usually brought about by a minority of the population. We do not have to motivate every last, lazy, apathetic sheep to get this change going. Once we get some momentum, the sheep will follow, as they always do. Don’t ever lose heart.

There will not be a revolution so much as a collapse. The United States will tax and spend its way into oblivion in 20 years or less.

That doesn’t sound like Paine. I don’t mean voice but Paine was a different sort of cat and I think this guy should have picked maybe someone else, like John Adams, to say some of these things.
