Newsweek reports that "the day of the third debate, Palin refused to go onstage with New Hampshire GOP Sen. John Sununu and Jeb Bradley, a New Hampshire congressman running for the Senate, because they were pro-choice and because Bradley opposed drilling in Alaska. The McCain campaign ordered her onstage at the next campaign stop, but she refused to acknowledge the two Republican candidates standing behind her." Oh, really?
First, John Sununu has a %100 pro-life rating from the National Right to Life Committee. Second, Jeb Bradley was not running for the U.S. Senate, he was running to represent NH's First District in the House of Representatives. Third, it is inconcievable that she would refuse to share a stage with someone who opposed drilling in Alaska when John McCain opposed drilling in Alaska. Fourth, Sarah Palin has no problems sharing the stage with someone who is pro-choice such as Joe Lieberman.
So next time your on line at the grocery store deciding whether to buy the National Enquirer or Newsweek, go with the Enquirer. At least they got their facts straight about John Edwards.
I really don't consider them news.
...though I’ve heard they were reporting some nasty rumors about Track Palin.
To me, their all JAYSON BLAIRS.
Newsweek is another entity that needs to go down. If we can get advertisers to quit advertising with the NYT, The Tribune Co., Newsweek and LA Times - I would be extremely happy.
I tend to doubt they’re “ignorant”. Rather, I believe that they know full well that they are lying, but that it serves their political agenda to obfuscate and dissemble.
Ignorant nothing, those Newsweak skunks know exactly what they’re doing.
Start compiling lists of advertisers and distribute. Here on this board (if it’s not against the rules), to your Republican friends, and request they send them to their friends. We really should get serious.
I’ve actually complained to doctors and dentists about stocking their waiting rooms with this garbage. It probably came to nothing, but I at least hope to make them think a little.
I’ve actually gotten a couple of local establishments to stop piping in CNN in favor of Fox. Too bad FoxNews is just as bad as CNN and the others now.

Given the recent post in which it is shown that 0bama has been subliminally hypnotizing many of his supporters in his campaign speeches, I think that the responsible Newsweak reporters and writers should seek mental help (i.e. to be deprogrammed). If enough Freepers contact Newsweak with this information and urge this step, it could make a difference.
That way, they can accurately report in 2012 what was inaccurately reported in 2008....the old news becomes new news. That's how this scam is run
...but Dailykos said...
How about ignorant lies about McCain?
Daily Kos, Newsweek, and National Enquirer are all the same — garbage in, garbage out. In the one instance where the Enquirer did try to do an actual news story, Edwards, they produced evidence.
The real problem post-election was Cameron. Up to that point people thought he was a serious journalist. He should be fired.
The wildest story was Palin & family went into an exclusive clothing store and carried on like the Beverly Hillbillies. She was followed around the whole time by a planeload of journalists. No one was with them?? If that had actually happened, it would have knocked the outbreak of WWIII off the airwaves.
Yup.
To compare NewsWEAK to the National Enquirer would be an insult to the National Enquirer.
NewsWEAK makes Pravda look like they were saints. Conservatives had better be prepared to DISbelieve any smears they read in the slimy MSM about Gov Palin. Chances are like 99% that they made it all up.
They don’t feel safe yet. Nice.
Okay, any thing Newsweak writes about could generate the headline “Ignorant Newsweek Lies About...” This is a dog bites man story if ever there was one.
Good counter points. Kudos.
Why would they so blatantly lie about this?
