This is interesting. Souter tells Obama to produce the vault copy by December 1, 2008. I believe the messiah will defy the Justices.
Who will force the issue? Who wants to open up that pandora's box? Imagine if there is something on that birth certificate that disqualifies Obama from the office of the President. What are you going to do? Start a civil war? There will be blood in the streets you try to enforce the rule of law. This should have happened before the election. Obambi knows it too.

At this point, Supreme Court Justice David Souter's Clerk informed Philip J. Berg, the lawyer who brought the case against Obama, that his petition for an injunction to stay the November 4th election was denied, but the Clerk also required the defendants to respond to the Writ of Certiorari (which requires the concurrence of four Justices) by December 1. At that time, Mr. Obama must present to the Court an authentic birth certificate, after which Mr. Berg will respond.
If Obama fails to do that, it is sure to inspire the skepticism of the Justices, who are unaccustomed to being defied. They will have to decide what to do about a president-elect who refuses to prove his natural-born citizenship.
"I can see a unanimous Court (en banc) decertifying the election if Obama refuses to produce his birth certificate," says Raymond S. Kraft, an attorney and writer. "They cannot do otherwise without abandoning all credibility as guardians of the Constitution. Even the most liberal justices, however loathe they may to do this, still consider themselves guardians of the Constitution. The Court is very jealous of its power - even over presidents, even over presidents-elect."
Also remember that on December 13, the Electoral College meets to casts its votes. If it has been determined that Mr. Obama is an illegal alien and therefore ineligible to become President of the United States, the Electors will be duty-bound to honor the Constitution.

The rules are: only natural-born citizens may become POTUS, and rioting is prohibited.

All that is fine but has no bearing on the Constitutional issue. Presumably states could refused to certify the vote of rogue Electors but that would not stop the activities required by the Constitution and federal law.
Advisory laws, expectations, pledges or hopes have no bearing on fact that the US Constitution says nothing about how Electors will/must vote only that States can appoint them any way they wish.
Electors are elected by the popular vote but after that they are not under any other control. A state could presumably remove them but there is no mechanism to replace them since state laws have them elected by the popular vote.
It would be a nightmare particularly if there were parties controlling the legislature which differ from the party of the elected electors.
Rush is like many who believe the Dems are all-knowing (esp Hillary). It is bewildering to me the power people see in the Dems. Bush is in charge now. I have heard many say if there was anything to this, Hillary would have mentioned it. She hasn’t been first lady for 8 years, and Obama was a nothing then.
All Obama has to do is show the Chief Justice the original birth certificate. Nothing need be released to the public.
Yes I do realize that Obama is a citizen. There is no question about that. The issue arises as to whether he is of natural-born status as required by the Constitution. Which if one of his parents is an alien then he is not granted natural born status per the Act of 1790. And since there is no other law regarding natural born status this is where the issue arises.
Not to mention all the FBI files...
Where in the Const. does it say HOW this can be addressed? I’m afraid the FF were naive in thinking we would remain a moral nation, with only honest men running. There is no process for determination when there is a question, unlike impeachment, which is clearly spelled out.
Any document (BC) is “sealed” protected when used as evidence in a court preceeding. Since Davis filed his FofI suit the day before BO arrived, I’m prone to think that is why we got all the information on the net that it was “sealed”.
WOW.......if he does not produce it...the electoral college will disqualify him. They have already said...by December 1st, 2008. If he is disqualified...his campaign along with Biden are also disqualified...and it would then fall to McCain.

Help me out.. in one of the responses to these lawsuits, didn’t one of Obama’s lawyers say there was something ‘embarrassing’ in the Birth Certificate which is why they aren’t releasing it? Clever lawyer excuse?
There are laws and penalties for faithless electors.
